Dead Voxel: It starts off with ambience. A symbol of the horrors of the Nether. But as the music slowly fades in, the creepiness fades away. This is probably the most revolutionary journey you will ever experience. And as the music builds up, you realize that this might be the only time you will be alone, completely. The only time you will feel how you feel right now. As the music reaches its climax, you end up running through the fortresses in pure delight and excitement. You feel like you can take on anything. And as the music calms... You get a wave of sadness. You can’t stay here forever... And when you leave... You may never come back. The ambiance returns as you leave the way you came; the bright purple portal.

About 2 years ago i really started appreciating and trying to understand the Minecraft soundtrack while i was playing survival with my friends on a realm we all paid for. I remember after going to the nether to make a highway with 2 of my friends. After a few of other nether tracks, which were beautiful to begin with, this started playing. I was building a bridge over a massive lava pool with my friends behind me and it just hit me. I stopped and started just looking around and ive never been so amazed by anything in my life. It was so beautiful and this track really added to it. The Minecraft soundtrack is really one of the best things to be created on this planet..

I do not know if you will read this message after five months. But I feel the need to vent. Life is just.. Hard man. I live in the UK and currently, my country is going to shit. Alongside that, having fewer and fewer friendships. I've always had a hard time in life making friends but I'm talking like, half friends. Putting it simply, people that 'know' me is a better way of putting it. I have never known love at the age of 22. I've always been rejected by every girl I've met. And honestly. I do not know if it's because I am ugly, have a bad personality, even smell bad. I second guess myself constantly. Trying to make myself look better each day. But nothing seems to help me socially. I just don't see life as enjoyable anymore. I wish I could rewind back ten years. Go back to the original Destiny. Halo Reach. Minecraft. Talk with my friends over the Xbox 360 after school and enjoy myself. Right now, all life is, is draining my money, my mental health, and my physical wellbeing. Nothing is fun anymore. Everything is just either 'okay', or unenjoyable. If you do read this. I appreciate it.
@soggybreadman403522 күн бұрын
@dylanarchangel2673 Hey friend, ita only been 1 month since you posted that message, but I hope you're doing better. I hope things are going well for you. I hope you've met people who make you happy to be around, and people who can enjoy you for who you are and not conditionally. Life is tough, and there's no shame in admitting that. I'm thankful that you at least have the freedom to vent all these things and tell people how you feel, even if it's just randos like me in the comments... it still means a lot. I hope and pray wherever you are right now things are getting better. They always will in the end. Things tend to turn out how they should. Know that even if finding someone to love and be loved by is hard... you're still loved, because God and Jesus loves you, enough to make someone as unique as you. When God made the world, he looked at a time such as this and said "This time needs someone like you"... and then He made you. Things are tough now, but in the end it's gonna be so worth it. Just keep fighting brother, keep working and moving forward, and you'll come to a future that will be better than anything you could have asked for, better than anything you could have ever given yourself. I believe in you man. Take care of yourself, and God bless you.

This makes me think about when I played modded Minecraft in college with my roommates. I never had anybody to Minecraft with growing up, so this was my first time having a serious group to play with. We all went to the nether for a specific crafting item, and we all went our separate ways in search for whatever it was. This music came in, and I got lost in it. The dudes I was playing with didn't even notice it playing, they were focused and driven. The climax of the music approached, and I stopped, looked out over the lava lakes and creatures added by and felt a deep sense of melancholia. I was appreciating the environment around me and the people I was with - may that be in-game or IRL.

Minecraft nether music is something else man, I don't know what makes it different but it just is. Dead voxel, concrete halls, ballad of cats. I can't describe it. It's just so..... Nether. It's not hype or fast paced or scary or hellish, it's just a dead universe full of heat and energy. It's emplty. It's an immense cave full of quarts and netherrack. It's not supposed to have many biomes or mobs. Mabye the Basalt deltas fit with this but the others feel like another dimension entirely. I'm not complaining, their great but this atmosphere is unbeatable

Its like staring into the eyes of eternality. How bliss we are to be alive. To have the sense of emotion, every sense of agony, nostalgia, joy, a sense of futility, a sense of fertility, the greater sense of bewilderment and indomitable strength. Beget the sense of uncertainty that life provides, existing as a mere seedling if nothing else. But it thus prevails in a wave of uncertainty. One has enough time to crawl, one has enough time to stand, one has enough time to sit, and one has enough time to crawl once more. No doubt will come to you. How bliss we are to be alive.

Dear person who might read this: We might never meet, or see eachother, but remember, you are one of a kind, and if such music makes you feel liks your emotionally touching yourself, keep listening, you might re-live a time or memory you though you lost. These days will never come back, and you might not see your gamer friends ever again, but don't cry because it's over, be happy it even happend. You made good memories and will take them to the grave. Be proud of all the moments you ever lived and will yet to live, because you can't go back. Live every moment like it's your last. Do things you'll love, hate, regret, enjoy, feel uncomfortable about, because you *only live once......* And if you read to the end, thank you, i don't expect anything in return, i'm just a messenger. I hope i changed your outlook on a couple of things you might be dealing with, if not, that's fine. We don't have to agree on the same terms, thoughts and opinions. The nether is the saddest place as everything is just stuck in a dimension where everything burns and where dying creatures have to settle (Wither and both skeletons) and the only creature that doesn't suffer is the blaze as it lives heat and was born there used to the hot climate and then there are things like ghasts and the souls in the soul sand that feel nothing. Pretty Sad 😐😪
@HexaByte. Жыл бұрын
i belive the blaze still is suffering. listin to the breathing of the blaze. it struggles. i feel like whoever made the nether fortress, made the blaze with souls. souls that are suffering. the achievement "into fire" kinda hints to this becuase the description for it is "relieve a blaze of its rod. relieve? the blazes are trapped in cages with the rods keeping them there.

i was playing this space game called elite dangerous. I usually trade information and goods, while also dabbling in a bit of bounty hunting. Essentially, i use a lot of fuel between the dogfighting and lightyears of spacetravel. one time i was doing a routine cargo shipment and i ran out of fuel. I was in the middle of this games version of a hyperspace jump and i ran out of fuel... It booted me out of hyperspace. I already was low on oxygen and my life support systems were damaged. I played this song as i waited for my eventual death. At first i was mad at myself for being careless, but eventually i realized that i shouldnt get upset over the inevitable. It happened and theres no going back, so i might as well accept it. So as i slowly ran out of oxygen, i played this song staring at a nearby star in the system. I doubt anyone will find this, but if you do. Thank you for taking the time to read my nerdy ramblings about a space sim game. ❤️

Man..This song hit hard back then, and it hits even harder now..Back then, I thought of this song as to show the true beauty of the Nether, and it’s unique creatures and environment. But..Low and behold, 7 years later, I return..And hearing this song? The start of it, was basically me, one of the many players that finally returned after years of the world being vacant of humans. The character I used to play, stares in awe at the world that was left, the lava world that echoes with silence, followed by the familiar whines of ghasts. This was what I left behind. And it was welcoming me back. And I can’t help but think.. How much Minecraft has changed. And how much, it changed me. It made me, who I am today. Thank you, Minecraft.
