I just lost my 10 years old group of friends. I finally realised I was the only one who wanted to keep staying friends while the other already moved on and met new interesting people. I was just a dead weight. I can't hate them tho. No matter how hard I try, I can't blame them. I'll always love them with all my heart. I truly wish them the best. Now all I have to do is to find someone else and move on too :)

I love this song so much, I have to say the biggest and most intense feeling I feel when I hear it. Anguish, sadness, nostalgia... I'm not sure what it is, but it's so intense and comforting... it's like a conversation with me, hugging me and telling me "it's okay, you're home! It's not your fault! I love you and all this pain is going away ;)"...i love your musical animations Jack, the world has been so bad to me.. the pressure follows me, the anxiety is ever present, people are suffocating me :( .. you've helped me a lot, even though you didn't know I existed haha, thanks for everything ♥︎♥︎

I don't comment often, but I wanted to say this: I feel like Jack's songs sometimes take multiple listens before they start to "settle in." I didn't actually like this song the first time I heard it, but the more and more I listen to it, the more and more I like it. (I almost start to crave his music after a while, if that makes any sense.) Jack really knows how to slowly work his way under your skin, which is part of why he's becoming one of my all-time favorite musicians.

Karen, Bill Wurtz is Jack Stauber’s twin brother. Despite being practically the same, they have been rivals since birth and taken their music in radically different directions, to try and win the favour of their mother, Lady Dianna. This is an apparent truth to give context to all of Jack and Bill’s works. And if you look carefully, and squint your third eye to the maxim, you can see that Bill Wurtz is actually just Jack Stauber spelled backwards.

This song so so good I can't even explain it. Within Jack Stauber's music, he uses a lot of metaphors and symbolism to represent his point however in 'Dead Weight' he breaks this very well as the song sounds so self-explanatory, so raw. "oh what the hell can I do" is like a brick to a window. It's such a powerful line as it perfectly creates the theme of the song, it hints at a form of endless hopelessness, a sense of given despair. It's just so incredibly human. Later in the song Jack uses the line "But I fall so good" and it wraps up this idea the feeling is only worsening but it's admitting that and becoming that which makes this song one of Jack's best. In a sense you can feel his 'dead weight'

I used to live in an apartment building when I was very very little with only two places of residence, my downstairs neighbor (the other resident) had a big bushy beard, and was very skinny. He was someone I only saw occasionally and I’ve only gone into his house once or twice (that I can recall). I think he was a stoner looking back on it and it was almost as if he had been stuck in the 90’s, as he had all the technology and general aesthetic of that period. This song along with a couple other songs by Jack give me the same exact feeling I got when I interacted with him. I’ve only been watching jack stauber for a week, and I haven’t thought about that neighbor for at least a decade. Come to think of it I don’t even remember his name. Thank you, Jack.

Jack stauber music is so calming to me :> I had like the worst dream of my favorite cat getting put down in front of me and the image of her little face still, frozen, and not breathing was stuck in my head, even though she was asleep on my lap right now. This calmed me down and took my mind off of it. Thank you Jack

I'm currently passing through one of the worst moments of my life I didnt pass in university, the 2 last school years i just have 1 single friend who left school before the last year, so i spend the whole last year just in my house with social phobia, scared of my colleges who ignored me and have a mental block so i didnt learn one single thing in 2 years. I dont know what to do with my life, i know im young but... it seems like this is the last fase? After all my life will end like this? There's no hope at the end No one believe i could enter university, i CANT lose one more year of my life trying to pass again, im a failure i just want to lay down and cry until i die But this song always touch me, idk how but when he says oh what the hell can i do? its just like me, i cant do anything but i wish i could meet people feel the pages with something kiss someone who like me back but in the end im a dead weight who can do nothing my english is poor, i know, but i just wanted to say that, everything is stuck inside me and i feel like im gonna explode, so thanks for always be there and get me jack stauber

I often feel like everyone around me, who knows who I am, hates me. I want to talk to them, but the reactions I get when I walk up to groups I know often feels negative. Like they don’t want me around. In turn, that makes me look less sociable so they’ll leave me alone after that. I don’t want to be left alone, I’d love to talk to you. I just don’t know how.

This song weirdly feels like anemoiac nostalgia. It makes me feel numb and makes me feel fuzzy, but not in the warm way. It's like I'm at a half-way point between existence and disappearing completely. It's a mix between weightlessness and feeling heavier than lead. Sort of bobbing about in the middle of waves, getting pushed up, yet pushed down. It reminds me of days when you go for a drive in the rain with nobody there. It's just you alone, but you don't feel lonely. You can't even focus on it. There is just an innate feeling of calm, solitude and solemness. It's like I should be crying, but I don't know what for. Maybe for a forgotten memory, or a memory that I never had. I just automatically disassociate. Time is passing, yet it is so still. Like I care to do things, like I need to do something, but I also don't. I just lay there thinking about something, while my head is empty of everything but fuzz. I guess it's one bit of calm away from wanting to cry and worrying about what I will do.

This is one of my favorite songs, it was my 4th most listened song on Spotify this year. My personal interpretation of this song is absolutely based one my daily experience. I'm a 15 year old girl(actually I'm 14 but since my bday is in January let's pretend I'm 15) and I've always been the type of person who likes being inside, I like music, drawing, painting, being with my parents, and just being chill in general. But these past years I've felt very pressured by society, because I see everybody my age partying, having a partner, having a lot of friends, getting drunk, etc. And I always feel like I HAVE to do all of that stuff because if I don't I'm not living the teenager years properly. On the inside, I know that's not true, but I still have that feeling. That's what I hear from this song when I listen to it,. "Oh, what the hell can I do? To fill the pages? Meet the strangers? Kiss the girl, take it in, feel the ages?" I think you can understand what these lyrics mean to me after reading what I said. "But it's all so good To let up" Would be about not wanting to leave my chill life but feeling like I have to. And the Dead Weight would be the guilt & pressure. This song has a really special place in my heart and it always comforts me a lot🤎 (Excuse my English, I'm not a native)
