I have the Nomad 30 with the E-brake. I run it on my AR10 in .308 and on my 6.5CM Long Range Rifle and my Tikka T3x .270 hunting rifle. I love it. I just took my first deer while hunting with a suppressor and it was actually the 1st time I shot it with no ear protection (usually at a range with other people not shooting suppressed) it was so nice not having ringing ears after my shot!!! I will definitely be looking into the TIXC. The barrel on my Tikka is pretty long and the added weight at the end does make it carry a little awkward while slung on my shoulder. It makes the gun a little top heavy......

As someone who still has good ears. I’m always a bit skeptical. I normally wear hearing protection even using suppressors. The only thing I’m confident with is sub sonic 22 and 300 blackout. I recently got the nomad L. I wanted it for a long time and I’m not disappointed. I still wear earpro for supersonic loads. Even 9 mm and 45 ACP subs seem like a little too much sometimes. If it sounds too loud, it’s probably because it is. Your ears will never recover if you damage them so always keep that in mind.

I always ear-pro as well. But it’s not always comfortable wearing it out in the field for days on end. Better to use the silencer and at least cut down most of the crazy loud rifle report while out hunting.

Luv my Nomad L for hunting!

What do you use it on? Bolt or gas guns? How is back pressure on ar10 & ar15's??
@fishynut8252Ай бұрын
@maxcole3930 I used it on bolt guns (6.5 CM, 300 WM and 3006). Does a great job reducing recoil and (for hunting) it's easy on the ears!! Will be adding one of those muzzle brakes to see if it tames the boomers even more.

What happens to the new cans if there is a baffle strike? Is the can ruined? I like my Nomad 30, but want something lighter.

I just recently got my 1st can a mask 22hd. It took about 3 weeks for my stamp to be approved. Currently waiting on 9mm can & I'm looking at a 30 cal can mostly for my ar10 I hunt with for deer & hogs. You recommend the ti version even if I wanna also use it for 556 at range & plinking in backyard on steel?

I would use the Nomad 30 if you're going to hammer on it hard. if it's only a few shots here and there the Titanium is the best. It will take some abuse just not hard core
@maxcole3930Ай бұрын
Also considering I mostly hunt with my ar10, which length would be better for less back pressure? I don't use adjustable gas blocks & at times the can will also go on 556 for coyotes. Or do you recommend another model can? Sound reduction performance is #1, then back pressure & weight is 2nd. I don't care about length. An extra 1 to 2 inches isn't gonna make that much difference for me hunting on ground & in a tree stand. Thanks

Nomad 30 will be best for your applications.

Which sounds better for tone the original Nomad L or new titanium L
@civilizedsavage33Ай бұрын
The L is hard to beat. BUT the Titanium to me is the same. Some say it has a diff tone.

I have the LTi and it sounds great on my 22-250, 6.5 CM, and 300 PRC. If you do mostly bench shooting or long sits on hunts the LTi is a good one to have. But I don’t think you can go wrong either way between the Longer or shorter nomads. I’m actually looking into a shorter 30 cal can for hunting. And the XC is high on my list.

Why no direct thread??

You can use direct thread mounts for any of the cans discussed in this video.
