Right? There isn’t much else like a line of these things.

Thanks for sharing. The fact that there are still 1968 Chargers still hiding somewhere looking for restoration is pleasantly satisfying. Thanks from CT.

No slant six, but the 318 growing up in the 70 was surprisingly quick.

Beautiful chargers ❤I grew up loving chargers because of the charger in the movie dirty Mary crazy Larry ❤

I wish my '68 was in the picture, Mine like yours is a base model cloned to a RT and I love it that way because I have made it mine. I have the color ,engine (440 ci) 3.73 gear I want and I don't have to hear "Oh look you don't have the correct bolt holding your license plate on" EVER.

Awesome! Exactly my theory on cars. And sure, there are cars that should be left original. My matching numbers, low miles, original paint 340 Demon will never be modified far from how it was built - or really, any further than it already has been. Any Hemi car should be left alone (and maybe put in a museum…) But a base car in a more ‘undesirable’ trim (as if any ‘68 is undesirable at this point, lol) sure looks like a blank canvas to me. I am definitely big on staying toward factory type equipment and day two stuff though, as opposed to pro street builds, LS swaps, etc. Haha.

I don’t. Lol. I only own the nice red car. I would very much like to own the turquoise car… but probably won’t be able to buy it. I have too much good stuff already.

Even in this condition, these are perfectly good solid Chargers. I've been scouring the internet all over trying to find one but literally all I can find are ones that basically need the entire body replaced, which is sad. Found one that was mostly surface rust and normal rust spots, fender wells, around the glass but somebody had already gotten to it and cut the entire trunk out of the car, I suppose to use for another car and it completely rusted out the rest of the rear end and the guy wanted $12K for it. $12K for $35K+ worth of work. No thanks.
@DeadDodgeGarage2 жыл бұрын
Seriously. I almost bought a stripped and rusted POS that needed a torsion bar crossmember and just about everything else for $8500. After I made the deal with the guy, people kept blowing up his phone and negotiated the price UP to $12,500. That was when I decided the Charger market is entirely insane, and I would either sell everything and pony up and buy a nice one to be done with it, or quit cars and take up woodworking. So I paid $52,500 for a really pretty decent car - not that it doesn’t have issues.

How many 2nd gen chargers do you currently have-own or working on? Between you and Tom and your brother?
