Excellent comment. This goes beyond esprit de corps. I was a BC in the Rangers, and have had 0311 and 0318 in my command. We watched these guys, along with other SF from the Pacific Rim at the stumps one summer. Definitely had the sh!t tight. Zero flaws in every demonstration, readiness, awareness, tech, assaults, repelling, etc. About as highly trained as MARSOC and my Rangers. Definitely no fear in clearing a building. Thank you Marine for your service!

The Maori are polynesians just like the Tongans, Samoans, Hawaiians, Tahitians etc. All of these polynesians have a war dance!

What wars are pacific islanders being forced to fight? *honest question
@tipenemokaraka-hiriwa80747 жыл бұрын
As colonies of the English we are part of the commonwealth and must follow the directives of England. During WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam 8 out of 10 native men left our shores and were called the "man-eaters". Many of our men did not take a break for the whole duration of the wars, actually all the wars we were directed to fight in. The history of the Maori Battalion is very interesting as there are many accounts of them fighting naked when all arms had been expended and over ran German lines on many occasions. Rommel even wished for a Battalion of the Maori Battalion and the Pacific warriors. As the first in Vietnam before the US the Vietnamese hated our men as we went to fight and cared not for life, (VI and V2).As we have been raised and still believe, we are one, fight as one and die for one another hence our war dances... We hope that in the future we can all get along as the wars are not ours but will fight if ever called to arms for fighting for our land and our people is in our blood.

Zonik! You need to know that only Tonga in the Pacific that European country afraid to lay their hands on them. Samoa, Fiji and all the Pacific island was ruled by European country except Tonga. You need to know that this country (Tonga) ruled the Pacific in the past. They ruled Samoa in the past 200 years and they almost take over Fiji before their leader (Ratu Seru Cakobau) asked Britain for help. That's why Britain ruled Fiji to protect them from Tonga. Yes it's true that Tonga is a tiny island nation for about 200,000 total population and easy to take over but don't even think about hand to hand combat with them you'll regret it. I'm Samoan and I respect my Tongan brothers. Tokouso!!

NOT! What will happen is before anyone is harmed you and your fellow Marines along with others in arms will make to expedite that meeting ... God Bless you all Royal Tongan Marines and all our fellow brothers and sisters who maintain the peace in the name of our Father Amen... sincerely one of your brothers, Security One is my call sign...God Bless us all.... enough of being serious... now go out and enjoy each day or at least part of it for yourself and who you love... ::) sincerely...from me

Adam James That's how you earn Polynesian respect by not backing down and treating them on equal terms. If you earn their respect and trust then you can call them coconuts and they'll just laugh it off, but if not I suggest don't call them that ha,ha,ha,ha!!
