Impressive set! From a visual perspective it looks like your 2nd rep is easier than your first, it looks like when you reset after the first the bar is further forward on your feet which may be the reason. Something to think about. Gl on your lifting!

Thank you! This is a good observation. I've also noticed that it feels a little easier when the bar is not centered in the middle of my foot. At least for my build it does seem more efficient to position the bar a little forward.

@@tycho103 Makes sense, I feel like deadlift and squat positions are very person specific to a person, I've definitely noticed in my own training my unconscious body is better at starting positions than I am consciously. Are the soles on your shoes as thick as they look? Just suddenly realised how thick they are haha, looks like you're doing a small deficit deadlift.

I used to overanalyze my setup a lot. Especially since I've read so many times that the bar should be balanced in the center of the foot. So I guess I often try to force it. After the initial rep, my body goes back to what feels natural though and I'm thinking that this has its advantages. Fortunately, it only looks like I'm doing deficit deadlifts. The sole is not as bad as it looks. I prefer to have a flat, solid sole when doing deadlifts. 🙂

@@tycho103 I'm definitely with you there, the more I used to try and consciously put myself in the 'correct' position the worse it was. I've definitely given in more to what feels natural.

You will tear your bicep using over under grip

hopefully not

That normally happens due to gear usage making the muscle stronger than the tendon, not necessarily because of the grip. If this guy's natural, should be fine.
