Woah I never expected to hear The Animals of Farthing Woods. That was a cartoon that was really mature and real for a kids show because it had lots of animal death. Animals in the show got ran over, shot by hunters and other realistic wildlife deaths.

I mean all shows that were for “kids” in the 80’s were very mature and were really just for parents prob why they put and add at ten in the 80’s that said “it’s 10 o clock! Do you know where ur kids are!?)

Hi! I’m glad you covered the truth of River Country’s true closing. The amoeba rumor had always annoyed me knowing that the park really closed from problems with overcrowding when busy and then no crowds when Typhoon Lagoon opened (with blizzard beach to follow). Not all closings have to be super dramatic.

Great video. Also I was wondering if you guys have heard of Jungle Jim’s.? it’s a grocery store that is located in Ohio and they have animatronics. Not only that but they also have two locations. I also think some of the animatronics are from different places so I think a video or two on Jungle Jim’s and the history of the animatronics they have would be a great idea.

Images be seeing an empty park and assuming it's abandoned. I grew up in Oregon, where Enchanted Forest is very popular, but very old and when you visit it, you can see how old it is. I can't imagine someone trying to to take parts of the park without googling it first. Edit: I want to add, twenty years ago, Thrillville was situated next to Enchanted Forest. It was very unsafe, and was shut down. I would love to see it mentioned somewhere

Thanks for showing Pripyat park!!! I had the chance to visit Chernobyl some years ago and to this day I remember it as one of the most hauntingly beautiful places I've been to. If I can make a small comment, I wouldn't say it's desolated - before the trip I was actually expecting it to be some sort of post-apocalyptic wasteland, but it looks more like nature successfully reclaimed the place with luxurious vegetation and wildlife. Of course it's not inhabitable and you still have to pay attention to where you go and what you touch, but just to give you the idea I've been onsite for two and a half days and was exposed to less radiation than what you get with a transoceanic flight (I had a Geiger counter with me - they are not mandatory but recommended)

Update on the locomotives as of 2024: #4 an 0-6-2T (if you are confused it’s a tank engine), has recently been saved and is now on static display it is now currently at Tobu World Square Park. Built by Baldwin in 1897, and It originally operated at the Roaring Camp and Big Trees Railroad in California in 1977 and originally named Waipahu before being sold to western village in 1988. They had another locomotive and no it’s not a typical CP Huntington train like what you used for reference in the video, it was a Vulcan Saddle tank locomotive converted into a 2-4-0 tender engine similar to the Ernest S. Marsh on the Disneyland railroad and is privately owned now, with plans for restoration to operating condition. 6:47.

I found out an interesting fact. if you go to the pool at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds you'll find a water tower with a waterslide around it. when I asked what the letters on the side said the lifeguard on duty said that she didn't know and that the water tower came from river country. later I looked at photos of the river country entrance and saw the exact water tower. it is so cool that a relic of a defunct water park is still around. especially now that I know River Country was torn down. I had seen it while on a boat. p.s. the letters were 'R & R', you can guess what that means.

Chernobyl's biggest issue was its own bigness. No one had ever built a reactor to that scale before, so no mass produced parts would fit things. One source recalled little financial award bennies bestowed on those who were particularly effective in jury-rigging technical solutions. The Chernobyl site was effectively built by McGuyvering their way through.
