THIS. If anyone is worried about the welfare of animals, report it LOCAL rescuers, or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. PETA (and H$U$ (here in the US, anyway)) will put down anything they can't sell at a profit. It's heartbreaking.

I hate PETA just let the rescues do their thing I went to a bear sanctuary in my state and the owner is retired he bottle fed the baby Cubs and spends lots of his donations on the welfare of employees and bear PETA said they force Cubs to have photos taken with them I did it they give you a spoon of honey or jam to feed the cub as a treat the enclosures are a mile long each if wondering let me get the linkwww.oswaldsbearranch.com

(We were local residents who lived in the vicinity of that park) They gave us specific instructions how to properly to transport the bird to their facility and he arrived safely. All I remember from that experience was getting a "backstage" look at all the rescue animals and taking a picture with the crane we saved. Since my paternal grandmother is born and raised in Manzanillo, I had no idea that Selva Aquatica would be featured, or that it was abandoned! I used to go to that waterpark with my cousins and grandparents during the summer time, and while it was a small park, it definitely held a lot of good memories for me! The yellow slide with the funnel? That slide had no supervision at all and the one time I went down on it, I almost drowned- its sad to see it old and abandoned now, but hopefully in the future it can be rebuilt. It really was a surprise seeing one of my childhood waterparks on here!

The dilapidated dragon in the first video looks eerily similar to a structure built in Melbourne Fl that eventually was abandoned. The concrete dragon was built on a private residential property on the point of an island that split two lagoons. Eventually, the owner went bankrupt and lost the property and severe weather destroyed the beloved dragon statue altogether.

I know they have issues, but serious props to PETA for getting those crocodiles out of that abandoned park. Pretty screwed up that the owners just left them there to die.

I live in Hamilton ON, not far from the abandoned Wet N Wild in Vineland. I drove by it recently and it's sad for me to see that they are building on that site and I can no longer share that magical place with anyone. I had a romantic anniversary picnic up at the top of that water slide with that magnificent view of Lake Ontario. There was a wonderful fishing location at the shore too. A decrepit concrete dock prefect for evening fires, fishing, beers and friends. I will forever hold on to these special memories, as they are all we have left of it now. Lets hope this new construction doesn't share the same unfortunate fiery curse. Side note: they did reopen Wet N Wild but moved it to a new location along Lake Ontario, closer to Hamilton.

Hey there’s a park in Redlands California called Splash Kingdom, or “pharaohs” because of the huge Sphinx out front. It’s abandoned and you can easily see it from the freeway on the way from Vegas. I thought you guys would would enjoy looking it up! ❤️

There actually was a sort of wet and wild here in Lockport Manitoba it was behind the skinners and got torn down in either 2018 or 2019 because it became a risk and people were vandalizing it and it was so old that it could have colapsed any moment it was closed early 2000s :)

I live 20 minutes away from the Atlantis Marine park and can confirm it’s still very much abandoned and no plans have been put forward for that to change anytime soon :/ (never expected it to appear in one of these videos tho, so it was definitely a huge shock/exciting moment for me🙈)

one water park had to shut down bc it had a brain eating amoba and 2 kids drowned in their waterslides.

@@deborahjknight7442 If you're thinking River Country, admittedly the design was dangerous by modern standards, and had some ridiculous flaws. The real reason it shut down was that it was running out of customers (two new parks open? why not visit them instead?) and cost (it was so old, it was costing more to maintain than it was worth.) The amoeba death was only one incident, which happened roughly twenty years before the park shut down.

Does anyone else get upset when they hear about the renevations or plans for renevations of these abandoned parks? As long as they're not a health hazard, having these spots that people can visit and look at whenever they want seems nice plus many people enjoy the atmosphere of abandoned locations

It's cool to learn more about the park in California, cause I always see it on the way to and from Vegas. I've always wondered what the story was behind it. It seems like every time I go to Vegas there's less and less left of it. When I went in 2010 and 2015, the slides were still there and visible from the freeway, now it seems like only the structures that once supported the slides and a few of the buildings are still standing. Back in the day, I think there was even an episode of Jackass or maybe Rob and Big where they skateboarded down the abandoned slides. That was pretty neat
