To His is very scary. I have surgery coming up and am getting a feeding tube back in my remnants of my stomach and in my intestines which I've had for 7 year untill I got an infection last year in my stoma and had the feeding tube pulled out. Very sorry to hear this! Maybe take an "observer" with you so they can make sure that the doctors and nurses wipe, disinfect, and sterilize everything. It's important to have an advocate there for you, and to stay with you after the surgery in your room. Many of these infections spread extensively through hospitals and especially while you're in recovery or in your room (that they usually don't clean properly). Even something like a blood pressure cuff could have the candida on it. Please be careful, and sending prayers your way!

Oh...oh great. I'm immunocompromised...was in the hospital 2 weeks ago. Got a horrible cough while there....which has only worsened and refuses to go away. They said I had fluid in my lungs. I keep hacking up stuff...this crap feels like pneumonia that won't go away. Oh...perfect.

Maybe try the "Candida Diet" as well, or as close to it as possible (I call it anti-candida diet). Yeast loves sugar and carbs, so avoid eating stuff that will quickly and easily feed the fungus. I guess Dr. Berg's "healthy keto" might fit the helpful antifungal diet profile somewhat. I don't know how much this can help a person with this particular strain, as I don't have any experience with it, but I survived a different systemic yeast/mold infection that nearly killed me. I don't know what exact strain I had. I was told it was candida and then I was told Valley Fever, so perhaps both. In the Southwest, certain fungus spores (coccidioides immitis) dwell in the dust and people & animals can breathe them in during a dust storm and get infected with Valley Fever, and some die from it. I never got a fever, although the fungus infection spread systemically. I did a bunch of stuff to get better, including ozone therapy, taking allicin capsules which are derived from garlic but are much stronger than regular garlic pills, antifungal herbal supplements/oils, diet change to avoid foods that readily feed fungus, homeopathic antifungals - for a couple or so years, because the regular clinics didn't help me. I hope you get better soon and find ways to help you recover quickly.
