I appreciate the mature nature in which unconfirmed information is clearly disclosed as such. Too many sources state unconfirmed information as if it is irrefutable, evidenced fact. While no news source is perfect, I applaud _The Telegraph_ for their integrity in this regard.

I get your meaning but as far as the media goes, that's like commending a burglar for wiping his feet on the carpet. How many mass media organisations are in the Donbas - close to zero - they're reporting in the main from the Polish border or Kiev (or Paris/London) and probably have a dimmer perspective on the war than many diligent Netizens.

Battle of Stalingrad: 19,000 deaths a day. Imagine that...and that's not to downplay the terrible things that have and continue to happen in Ukraine. But just during the battle for Stalingrad, 19k deaths a day was the human cost. It's hard to wrap your head around.

I think what a lot of people miss about dictators is that there is an ecosystem around them profiting...and surviving based on the dictators survival. Xi, Assad, Kim, Khomenei, and Putin are surrounded by concentric rings of people who's station is dependent on the dictator. If that dictator goes down it shuffles the board. It's why they are so resilient. What better way to cozy up to the dictator than to out a disloyal peer. Prighozin is playing this game to cement himself and allow Putin to deflect blame. If I was Gerasimov or Soigu...I'd be looking for someone to sacrafice and secure my position.

About the economic union, I think the Kremlin and specifically Putin are taking too much for granted. They act and assume that these member states don't really have another option. Their arrogance is going to be the undoing of them yet again. Politically, and militarily, there arrogance has already destroyed any real standing in those areas that they ever had. That same arrogance is showing again and is going to be there undoing yet again in the economic area specifically in the area of skirting sanctions. I know from conversations I've had in the past and not that long ago too, that those members states are actually chafing under the collar with regards to the control from the Kremlin

If these cross border raids by the Russian Legion brings Prighozin’s troops to the border it will be a problem for Ukraine. If Wagner chooses to start performing cross border raids into Ukraine it will tie up a ton of Ukrainian forces and seriously affect their ability to go on the offensive. The Russian Legion isn’t going to defend Ukraine, they have a different motive. I wonder if Putin and Prighozin didnt plan this. We heard about Prighozin contacting Ukraine about Bachmut, suppose he provided Ukraine and the Russian Legion with locations where the border wasnt protected in exchange for getting out of Bachmut untouched, and thats what happened. Ukraine never tried to even kill one Wagner soldier leaving Bachmut. Part of the plan for him is now clear them out but it wont be an agreement it will be serious and Ukrainians will die as a result. Putin is Prighozin’s friend and even if Prighozin is President, Putin will be alive, with power and money where if someone else takes out Putin they will kill him. Thats why Prighozin is getting away with running his mouth. Chechens are no threat to Wagner, Prighozin will wipe them out. Putin sent Chechens to Bachmut to die.

When an interceptor hits an inbound missile, the missile's warhead is not always destroyed or rendered inoperable. The debris from a successful intercept still falls to earth and often detonates on ground contact. People and infrastructure can still be killed and damaged. Just look at Israel's Iron Dome. Even when it is 100% effective at intercepting incoming Palestinian rockets, civilians still get wounded and killed as "collateral damage".
