Fantastic picks, but all very obvious/mainstream stuff for anyone who is into electronic music. I remember him mentioning a while back that he loved Jon Hopkins' work, for example, which was the slightly more obscure stuff I was hoping he'd share.

I love that he is a BoC fan and Aphex Twin and Kraftwerk fan. I dont really listen to Deadmau5 but listen his tutorials and his opinions a lot. Seems like a stand up guy. I used to be a mad zep fan too

Its funny when you realize that Tommy Lee, the drummer of motley crue, is also a electronic music producer by proxy, as he, Joel, Steve Duda, and DJ Aero have worked on dance tracks that where released under duda's label xfer, known as the group "WTF?" and had their debut performance in 2016, 8 years after their initial conception as the group, and released a few track with Aero under Joels label mau5trap, the more you know...

People saying this is boring or basic is pretty funny, all he did was pick what he liked, (especially the BOC he’s talked often before about how Boards Of Canada is important to his sound) and not BS for like 10 mins a piece about totally obscure stuff. I like when artists pick albums, known or not, and actually give more than a front-cover blurb and say what it really means to them rather than rely on cultural shorthands- these are great picks, don’t get me wrong, but that’s what makes this series special.
