I wish I understood what makes deadmau5 tracks sound so much better and satisfying than almost anything else. The only thing I've noticed is that he doesn't use unnecessary sounds. Many tracks are so cluttered you can't hear clearly what's going on. Deadmau5 tracks are always crisp, clear. When it pops it pops; when it slides it slides.

Not just that, but the vocal processing is incredible as well, the lead voice alternates between being omnipresent and very focused, all during thematically appropriate places in the song, it like hangs in the air in front of my head, when most voices through my headphones are either in the middle or behind. Stereo separation and imaging is so well done, the bass is powerful yet doesn't take up the space of anything else, not just in frequency, but in actual 3D space. I don't know how he does it so well man, years of practice and innovating on his methods I guess.

Deadmau5 is a legend at this point. I think it was 2008 when I first noticed him. I went to a NYE Armin Van Buren ASOT. It was an 8 hour set for Armin. A world record I think at the time for the crowd size. I was locked in all 8 hours. But my only regret was Deadmau5 was playing outside on one of the other 2 stages and I had no idea who he was. And then I went home and discovered his random album title, and I couldn’t believe it.

I just saw Deadmau5 live for the first time at DAER. Quite literally the most transformative experience ever. I had to go alone, none of my friends had the time or money. I do not regret going by myself one second. Deadmau5 made it worth it. He helped me realize my self worth a bit in a way.
