1:50 The breakdown is nothing short of amazing. Literally one of deadmau5's greatest works. Where do I even start? - Full-on counterpoint here. What the fuck is even going on here? Everything is in key, but not in key at once!? Seriously, though, it's brilliant and I love it. I feel like there is a lot of detune being used here, and if so, it's a textbook example of how to use it because the pitch is literally wobbling. Something is going on beyond the perfect selection of scales here. - The lead is jumping octaves almost every note, much like in Strobe. One of mau5's best signature sounds, out of all the ones he's associated with himself throughout his career. I'm glad he came back to this technique for this track. - One thing Strobe didn't have was amazing percussions driving you through the build-up. Strobe + WTF = yes. - Awesome soundscape. I consider myself a smart man, but listening to this makes me wanna buy some NFT's.
