Loving these videos. Of the 5 o 6 I have watched so far I am amazed that you don't have more subscribers. I suspect its because I haven't seen a spanner yet :-) excellent detail and great explanations, I get it and I am not a professional tech.

There’s some good information here, but I find it strange that he states that BMWs vanos was the first two stage valve timing. That is incorrect. Nissan developed two stage valve timing in 1989 see the 1990 300ZX VG30DE. And in 1991 the Sentra engine GA16DE also employed 2 stage variable valve timing. Then Nissan introduced continuously variable valve timing in 2001 on the VQ35DE Nissan Pathfinder. In fact Nissan is the largest producer of VVT systems in the auto industry, Nissan also makes the valve timing actuator for the Honda iVtec which is the difference in iVtec systems now and Vtec system of old. Just find it interesting Nissan is not mentioned in his information.

As you said at 8:35 closing exhaust valve 22 or 15 degrees After TDC ? Sorry teacher Im a little lost here ?What stroke are we talking about ?

Cylinder deactivation. Cadillac tried this back in 1977. Gm again still same problems. So redundant just like active grill shudders. Why even explain . You need to teach about planned Obsoleteness. Something everyone needs to now about.

Cadillac tried cylinder deactivation 46 years in was junk. Gms version is junk..
