My father was a journalist and he taught me from the time I could hold a mike, that the mark of a good interviewer is how little they have to say to coax the most out of the interviewee. I think of that in my job as a therapist. So many interviewers forget that it’s not about them (lol, therapists, too).

I really like these sorts of interviews, where actors I really like do serious interviews. There are so few with Ryan. It's nice to see he's had a lot of the same experiences a lot of us have. Great interview. Hawkins doesn't talk over him or interrupt incessantly like many other interviewers do. He let Reynolds talk and was very cool and even keel the entire time. Great questions as well. Reynolds himself is very articulate in his answers. He really knows how to express himself clearly and doesn't ramble on unnecessarily. Great interview, guys.

I'm shy and I love acting. It really helps to play someone besides yourself, becoming the character makes being in front of that giant audience takes a little bit of pressure off of yourself. Sure it's still petrifying, but part of being a good actor is being able to get over that and move foward.
