normally it bugs me when they change a characters origins for a movie but this one was done really well and resulted in a great movie

No one answered him when he asked "wheres Francis" cause no one knew who Francis was since they only know him as Ajax. Also they forgot the guns in the taxis cause their budget ran out

I get a huge kick out of the part where Deadpool says "Wait!! You're probably wondering "why the red suit?" Well, that's so bad guys don't see me bleed. (points to the armed gunman wearing brown pants) This guy's got the right idea, he wore the brown pants."

I heard that joke a long time ago with the British Red coats and the French wearing brown pants. So when it was in Deadpool I cackled because it called back to those memories.

Ajax is a real character from the comics, playing a very similar role as in the movie. Also, his name comes from the Greek myth, not the dish soap, lol.

Fun Fact: While filming, Ryan Reynolds visited sick kids, via Make-A-Wish foundation, as Deadpool. Art Imitates Life Fact: Ryan Reynolds revealed that the taxi driver character Dopinder (Karan Soni) was named after "a really cool guy" he knew in elementary school who died when hit by lightning. The character was meant to be a tribute to him. Not A CGI Costume Fact: The Deadpool costume originally had a muscle layer underneath but it had to be removed. Ryan Reynolds was so muscular, the costume was not only too tight for him, but it made him look overlarge. Ryan Reynolds was allowed to keep his Deadpool costume after filming had completed. Technically he didn't ask to, nor did he give anyone the chance to take it from him. When 20th Century Fox found out about this, the studio just let him keep it. Jump Starter Fact: A three-minute test reel was shot in January 2012 in an attempt to convince the heads of the studio to move forward with the movie. On August 1, 2014, the footage was released (aka: LEAKED) to the public and, based on the overwhelmingly positive response from fans, the film finally began production. The footage was so popular that part of it was recreated for the actual film. This included the opening scene with Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) on the highway which leads to the fight scene in the car.

They technically made Ms Marvel the first mutant simce the show came out, but also introduced Namor in BP 2.

1:20 solid comics reference haha you know your stuff! they actually were wanting to make his main love interest into copycat from the comics but there was creative differences which resulted in director tim miller leaving the project which is why vanessa never became copycat and why david leitch ended up directing deadpool 2. then he departed and so deadpool 3 is being done by shawn levy because of his history with ryan reynolds on stuff like free guy

You'll miss a few jokes in the Deadpool series if you don't watch the X-Men movie first. The first 3 X-Men are kinda slow in my opinion, then a lot of comic fans have issues with Wolverine Origins (personally I liked it other than them screwing up Deadpool but I just block that part out lol) but first class and days of future past are SO good. It kinda is nice to have the background knowledge of the first ones though to know how the timelines change and things. All this to say, I hope you go back and watch the rest of the X-Men movies lol.

Did you watch the X-Men cartoon back in the 90's? If so, you should really give X-Men 97 a shot. It was FANTASTIC if you enjoyed the original. Great reaction as always :)

You really should give the X-Men movies a second chance. They are totally worth the watch, especially since you mentioned loving the comics. You just have to accept the story as a new entity, since they took liberties to adapt it to live action. Just think of it as an alternate universe version of the characters you remember.

Francis a.k.a. Ajax is the British villain...lol 🤣😆 Vanessa Carlisle is Copycat Deadpool's love interest. In the movie it's just Vanessa. So could be the same character or another Vanessa. That being said she does share several traits with the comic book version. "I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom I can tell you I don't have money, but what I do have is a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that will be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you, but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you.". Liam Neeson - Taken. 😮 Green Lantern gets a lot of unnecessary hate. Hal Jordan is my favorite Green Lantern so I guess that makes me biased. The villains were a rogue Guardian of Oa and Hector Hammond who is DC comics version of the Leader. One of my least favorite villains. That being said the CGI was good. The Green Lantern Corps and Guardians are all comic book accurate. I personally enjoyed the movie despite its flaws. It is still better than say Blue Beetle or Suicide Squad. I liked it more than Shazam. But that's just my personal opinion for what that's worth. 😂 That is indeed Gina Carano as Angel Dust. 😊 Francis Freeman A.K.A. Ajax appeared in Deadpool vol. 1 #14 March 1998. Created by writer - Joe Kelly and artist Walter McDaniel. The big joke is Ajax 's henchman don't know him as Francis. Lol 🤣😆 Even though this is a Fox movie there was a end credits scene with a teaser for the next movie. 😅

You should give the Xmen films another chance! If you don't like the original trilogy, then you should at least watch the films as of "First Class", those happen before the original 3 Xmen films
