I think him starting out as a mostly sane assasin trying to pay for his cancer but slowly becomming more and more quippy and insane until weapon x which is when he starts hearing voices and is switching between the sane wade and the insane, quippy and schizoprenic deadpool

For some reason, as much as I love the modern Deadpool. I adore the original Deadpool much more! He seemed to be more badass and that villainous tone of his seemed to make him incredibly likeable! I wish Marvel could bring back the old Deadpool in an alternate Universe like how they've done with several other characters in the past. That would be great!

Way I heard it was DP was an original-yet-unoriginal idea, and almost didn't happen because a couple of higher ups thought he was too much like Deathstroke, and it was that whole muckaround that gave the creators inspiration for his real name.

This is my Deadpool, the one that got me hooked. Along with The Circle Chase and Sins of the Past. I was collecting Wolverine comics at the time, but I kept asking when will Deadpool get a ongoing series. Then issue #1 showed up in the shop and I was so happy. In the Wolverine movie when Wade stepped out and did his bullets and blades dance. I was like there is my Pool, and then that movie screwed him hard. I'm wondering which Pool we're getting with this movie. A Nicieza/Liefeld version, Kelly/McGuinness version, or Duggan/Hawthorne...or something completely different?

+likenem Wrong actors, bad scripts (all three films) and unlike the X-Men films, no one ever seemed to care if the film would be good or not. Who knows maybe the FF simply don't translate to the big screen? It's also pure speculation if Marvel Studios could do or would even attempt a better job.

likenem The main factor to FF, that all the films overlook, is they are not a superhero team like the X-Men, Avengers or GoTG. They are a family and should interact with each other as such. That's why in many people's eyes The Incredibles is the best FF film we will probably ever see.

I coulda swore Deadpool first appeared in Alpha Flight. I can't remember the issue but I do remember that his swords were as thin as an atom and that's how they could cut through anything. Or something to that effect. And he was referred as the "Merc with a mouth." I'm now almost 50 reachin back to my teens and may be wrong. Probably so.
