Another avenue worth pursing at least here in the US, is your local library. I can access Mitchell1 through any computer terminal at my local library. Alternatively, I can sign into my library account from my home computer and access “Auto Repair Source” which has factory wiring diagrams (and some repair info) for most every US vehicle. I am not sure how many libraries have this service, but it is worth investigating.

Heavy equipment tech here... With the Right to Repair movement gaining momentum, I believe more technical resources will be available for FREE or at least very low cost. Thank you for good people like Maic and MechanicMindset to bring this to light! 😊

Am I misreading their website? It says nothing about 1 day access it's permanent access for that 1 car/purchase. (Other make manuals are a year range for a whole model, ex. 2013-2016 Ford Escape). If true that alone makes it a better value even if you only needed the wiring diagrams for a lengthy intermittent concern diag or you need the info to diagnose a hard fault and dont get parts or approval until the next week and wanted the manual for repair procedures. Or even diy and only can work on it a couple hours a day. It's like buying a Haynes manual except its Factory info and doesn't expire. Additionally, they have more than just BMW listed. For example I found Audi, Mercedes, and Domestic makes listed. I will admit the site looks kinda scetchy, but the Mechanic Mindset video shows it indeed works and if you get common repeat customers or its a common car you have already have the information for any future visits. I'd personally pay with a prepaid visa card 😂

In defense of Mechanic Mindset, the manuals are availble to everyone, I dont know if it's the same in the US but in the UK the the manufacturers diagrams etc are only available to select businesses and vehicle owners get no access at all.

As a DIY, the hardest thing besides learning to read a wiring diagram is finding a provider of these diagrams. You also have a learning curve navigating the website from the provider. Your knowledge from BMW is very good and it shows that you are very familiar with this website.

Hi, can you please explain.... Why why why??? Today's modern cars eg MARUTI FRONX, Toyota Glanza, Toyota Taisor, has 12V and then drops to 7V in the door close signal voltage. Whereas, it used to be directly 12V when door closed and 0V when opened in old cars. But today's cars has 12V at door closed, and after 20 seconds, it drops to constant 7V. When opening, it drops to 0V. Why there's delay in dropping to 7V at door closed?? What's the significance of this 12V to 7V??? Please explain 😊

That's very interesting.. initial impression to me it seems like a power management and safety feature. I worked with heavy equipment with 24 Volts and dual series batteries and it did cross my mind a few times that most functions do not require that high of a voltage⚡️for switching.. I'm curious too!

@@projectsspecial9224 please check with the Suzuki Baleno, Fronx, and Toyota Glanza and Taisor. All have 12V and then after some 20 seconds, it drops to 7V permanently.

The Mechanic Mindset channel is UK based. I have never heard of any member of the public in the UK being able to access the information you have shown. The US legislation gives vehicle owners a lot more rights than you find in the UK.

Thanks for sharing! I did set the scene in the first 30 seconds of our video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/enacY5dsjdOMe5Y Information is a big challenge for everyone, especially the small businesses and DIY Enthusiat guys. Regaring the BMW TIS access, is that available for everyone, or only businesses? Would you believe it, here in the UK my BMW AOS application was rejected! (becuase I'm a training company and not a repairer). I beleive even sole traders who are not VAT tax registered struggle to get manufacturer account access. It is clear from the comments in my video that some people aren't happy with the eManual service (opened my eyes a bit!), but in this tough world of diagnostics, if you're desparate, it's got to be worth a shot. When I'm visiting workshops for diagnostic training, I would say the number one road block is workshop info; and here we are talking about heavily invested businesses with ALL the subscriptions, and still sometimes struggling to get that one pin number or connector location you need. Keep up the great work!👍

Wow steady on, Darren is a VERY respected technical trainer in the UK!! What is your point?? In the UK this info is NOT available like it is in the US Maic The price is for that vehicles info with NO time limit which is perfect for the home mechanic. Anyone with a workshop will probably use Alldata outside of the network. Don’t paint Darren as a bad guy please. An apology to Mechanic Mindset to put into context would be appreciated please.
