@@luiz4200 If it isn't racism then its bad business practices. After the police officer couldn't produce ID he would have good reason to be suspicious, but even before that the owner treated him as a liar and told him to get out and threatened to call the police. If he treated all his customers like that then he would be out of business, so unless it is racism his business wouldn't survive as he would do it to everyone. The right way to have handled it as a business owner was to be nice and ask him for Id. It is right of the owner to make sure the car is going to the correct owner, but wrong to treat him as a liar without proof

This isn't racism, it's not disorderly conduct and committed an unlawful arrest. 1. Go and get your ID 2. Someone at the station should have told them WHO was going to pick up the car. 3. Stop arguing with the dealership, he's doing his job to make sure the car is released to the right person, and not some stranger. 4. The salesman did apologize even though he shouldn't have. 5. You don't commit false arrest 6. You don't let someone sit in the back of the car while you eat your donuts. 7. And in case you're forgetting, criminals steal cop cars.

I think the dealership guy had every right to refused to give the cop the car. With no Id or uniform. And if you pay attention Garrett was was raising his voice and getting way too close to the dealership guy. Came off as aggressive and demanding. Sure the dealership guy came off as rude and all, but at the end of the day it was a misunderstanding and part of it was the cop fault. The cop shouldn't have rise his voice or gotten too close. Anyone would feel threaten and in danger by such a behavior. What the cop should have done is wait for his partner or get them and return with his badge. I think the cope Mike that came in didn't witness the whole situation and just heard the whole assuming thing base off skin part when the guy did ask for an id of some kind. Instead of asking for the full story the cop Mike instantly arrested the men for being rude to his friend. Instead of learning or understanding situation and what lead to the misunderstanding. In the end of the day no one got hurt and dealership had every right to refused to give a cop car to someone that didn't have an id on them. Yes he was rude but did his job to ask for Id. I think the whole thing was crazy to be honest. He shouldn't have gotten arrested. I think everyone at fault here in a way. He should have called the cops maybe but hey he probably get arrested for assuming his life was in danger. There needs to be more communication with cops and people around them. All I saw here was a cop got butt hurt and their friend took it away too personally. I think it's very petty and unprofessional and abused of power even.
