In today’s video, I’ll be taking you guy’s along with me while I make my deliveries. I’ll also be discussing my spare truck and how people deal with adversity in the trucking industry.

Bro it’s so ironic you dropped this banger today. I have been having a horrible Friday and was like I’m not recording any content I’m just going to get the route done and get the weekend started then I said I think I should at least talk to the fam about the negatives of today since I’m always talking positivity on the channel. Need to let them know I’m human too and I get frustrated as well and then boom you drop the 💎💎. Definitely dropping some content this evening. Appreciate you as always my brother

That little curb you pointed out at the second stop can cause a big problem if you hit it wrong. One tire will tip your whole dolly over.

@@imanthonytv Aye no problem man. I’m happy to support the channel. In this crazy “independent and dogfight” society we live in today, it’s the least I can do.

@@imanthonytv much appreciated, it’s actually funny you talked about adversity. When I got back from my route this morning I couldn’t get my trailer uncoupled. Tried everything had a driver colleague help me to no avail. Had to call the shop to come out and take a look luckily my terminal has them on site. Not a matter of if but when like you said. You’re videos are always right on time brother 🫡💯

Is your cooler always floor loaded? I’ve been at GFS in Wisconsin for 3 years( formerly I was at Sysco for 4 years.)my route is 2 over nights (chain), 7 stops usually around 13-1500 cs and 38K - 43K lbs. Our cooler is always pallet loaded, dry and freezer are floor. Interesting to see! Btw, how are your customers with door propping? We do a lot of Culver’s and some of them are pretty strict with door propping, some don’t care. We definitely are blessed most of the time with the loads, Sysco warehouse was awful compared to GFS.
@imanthonytv3 ай бұрын
Yes, my entire route recently changed to floor loaded from palletized. I actually like floor loaded better. I personally don’t service any Culver’s on my route but I know exactly how some of them are with door propping lol. All of my customers allow me to prop the doors open so it’s not an issue.
@Stavie14453 ай бұрын
@@imanthonytvthat’s a great feeling knowing you can prop without risking getting an email from someone 😂 Sometimes I wish I lived down south, over nights in the north woods can get incredibly sketchy during the winter. I’ve been caught numerous times in some nasty snow storms and the worst is when you are empty 😂 keep up the good content bro! Just avoid eating at any of those Chilis if you know you know!! 🤣🤣🤣

Get ready I did beer delivery for 11 years I think that was easier then food delivery I last a year at mclane lol 😆 had to find something else
@imanthonytv3 ай бұрын
@matthewreed1078 That’s funny lol. I did beer delivery for 4 months. It was the hardest job I’ve ever done and the pay was terrible. Been at GFS for 5 years making double what I made delivering beer and working less than 45hrs a week. I worked 55-60*hrs every week delivering beer.

I wish we had ramps for our side door here at Latbatt 🤦🏾♂️ I hate jump in and out the side door all day.But I had a question about the scanner . Do you feel Like it slow you down.? Latbatt trying to start using scanner instead of case counting and a lot of the older drivers and drivers who came from other companies that use scanners say it slow you down how do you feel about that P.S thanks for that Latbatt review you did that the only reason I knew about them keep doing what you doing big homie 💯💯
@L0CC2o93 ай бұрын
it will slow you down only if your selectors are a pos and label all over the place. other than that it minimal if you can see all the stickers. my advice is to the labels in one side and scan everything at once on the dolly instead of case scanning and putting on the dolly.
@imanthonytv3 ай бұрын
To answer your question.. NO, the scanner doesn’t slow you down in my opinion. With our scanners in particular you can just hold the button down while breezing over the labels which makes the process quicker. That’s not the case for all scanners. You can’t just hold the button down. With all that being said, I actually think scanning is better for two reasons.. 1. It helps you identify the cases by displaying the description on the screen so you know exactly what to look for.. 2. You don’t have to worry about forgetting how many cases you need for each stop. Counting cases is cool until you’re trying to figure out what case you’re missing lol. Going through an invoice is time consuming. Just my thoughts bro. Thanks for watching champ 💯✊🏾

Why not just scoop n go with the floor loaded? Looks like you could do it for most of the route 🤯 touch some cases here n there but u could scoop a lot I feel like
@imanthonytv3 ай бұрын
Nah bro, you definitely can’t just scoop and go with floor loaded. It probably looks that way because of how it’s stacked up but the way the cases are packed in and the weight of a lot of the cases wouldn’t make scooping ideal. You’re definitely not scooping any freezer cases with the exception of bread. But even the bread isn’t always stacked straight up so you would still have to put it on the hand truck.
@luisonfit58973 ай бұрын
@@imanthonytv oh gotcha def looks like there’s not much or at all digging tho? We’re still pallets at Sysco but I think as long as floor loaded is pretty in order it might not be that bad

I’m currently enrolled in school for my CDL second day in manual it’s challenging I can’t lie..what’s your advice on getting the CDL in an automatic?
@imanthonytv3 ай бұрын
Not having an automatic restriction gives you more options in regard to job opportunities. Some companies won’t hire you with the restriction. With that said, there are plenty of companies that will hire you with an automatic restriction on your license. Many companies have already transitioned to an all automatic fleet and more will follow in the future. My advice would be to do what you feel it’s most comfortable for you. Also, just understand that you can get the restriction removed at a later time if you choose to do so. However, you would have to pay additional fees in which case if you had obtained them the first time around that extra expense could’ve been avoided. Good luck 👍🏾

@imanthonytv Evey word. Everybody has bad days. When a company becomes too stressful or demanding, employees need to exercise their opinions. My opinion does not apply to your situation.
