@@imanthonytv I'm actually an iron worker in NYC and we make great money when we are busy but there are lots of down periods. A fall and lower back injury is making me look to transition to a different career at 56 and I've always had a class B but also always wanted to get my A, so I did that having just gotten out of school. I've always had tanker and Hazmat endorsements but with the new and stupid regulations, I have to do Hazmat all over again, which I am in the process of doing right now. I have all other endorsements except passenger (which I don't want any more anyway. Transporting people sucks). As soon as I get off this injury, I will have had my Hazmat back by then, and I'll be looking to get on with whoever is willing to hire me. I'm also a veteran and I already have a TWIC card, so I should check a few boxes. All that's missing is the experience and that's why I'm soaking up as much knowledge as I can receive as possible and that is where people/content creators like yourself have been a great help. I cannot thank you enough, Brother.

I'm sorry but I have been with cag for 12 years. They say you can make up to 140k a year. I personally like the company. I started out in fuel than 10 years in that. And now I'm on the cryogenics side. Yes, you can make up to 140k a year but you have to stay at it and actually work

@King 50Locs I live in New mexico so there is state tax. There isn't state tax in Florida. Also, each division of kag has different pay rates. Before taxes 2300 a 65 hour work week(5 days 2 days off). That's going about 2600 miles.. kag local is how ever far u can go out, deliver and make it back. Basically if u r a hard worker they reward u w more raises and better routes. I enjoy working for kag. Do ur job. Be safe and ull never have them micromanaging u. They do not have forced dispatch either.

In Tampa it’ $24 $25 if you’re night shift. They take advantage of people that work hard but won’t give you an increase. Tampa is the biggest location but pay the least. Get your training here than go to a different company that pays more

KAG is a very good company. I worked for them for a year hauling Molten Sulfur (loaded into tanker @ 300 degrees). I liked working for KAG as a company, at the end of the day, I did not like the work I was doing because it was a little too dangerous. And I got tired of working a night shift. But, I don't blame KAG for any of that. Pay was great, and even when I left, they offered to try to move me to another position / account, but there was none available at the time. The people there really do care about you, versus some other companies. I have heard their fuel hauling is well over 6 figures, which is what I was trying to get into.

@@Devinn504 Most guys don't live in SF. Our warehouse is located in Livermore so most of us live in Modesto and Manteca and anywhere on highway 99. Since we can work out of our different yards Fresno, Turlock, Oakdale it makes it worth it. Your making $40 an hour and live in an area where you only need to make a fraction of the price. Plus our outer yards other than SF work M-F. So yeah man its worth it as long as you don't have to live in city and are ok with driving 40 min to work.

I’ve heard bad things about working at KAG as a company driver. I driver I was talking to at one of Cleveland’s water treatment plants that worked for KAG said he was treated like a number and the pay is below average, but he’d work there because he needed a job that was home nightly. I looked at them in 2020 for a job in the Pittsburgh area and was offered a job, bu t turned it down because the pay was awful. At the time it was 22 dollars per hr and night shift was mandatory. I was like ah ya no thanks lol. No wonder they can’t find drivers. To give some comparison Loves and pilot fuel haulers start in the upper twenties and that’s low pay. Sheetz fuel haulers in the Neville island PA area are offering 38 per hour time and half over 40 and 4 day work weeks. If I was looking for a job I’d call sheetz first. I make more than that now on the percentage pay at a smaller company doing chemical tanker work.
