Dealing with Death

The death of an animal is usually one of the saddest deaths to deal with. This is mostly because animals can't really tell you in words how they feel. They don't have their own last words to be remembered by. whenever they do pass, their humans will never let themselves stop being guilty over thinking of what they could have done. Even if you could have been there earlier, problems would have still arisen. It's ok. Don't think you're a bad person or anything, we all still love you.

I know exactually what you mean my pet dog almost died because of a huge German Shepard while he is a mini poodle not tea cup poodle he is bigger than a chihuahua and I let him out while the other was outside and he got attacked his hip pulled out and hi inners were falling out my mom punched and punched the other till it would let go it was hard seeing my companion close to death so ya I might make a story time video on it

Stacy, I look up to you so much and I really hope you'll be feeling better soon. My pet Guinea Pig and my rabbit have both died recently and I totally know how it feels to feel guilty and regretful because of stuff like this. The kitten was so happy to finally have "a mom". If the kitten was alone for any time longer he would have been suffering so much more. Stay strong girl.

Stacy, it's NOT your fault. I understand feeling guilt about a pet passing away... My dog Tyson was going on a walk with my sister and jumped up onto a little girl, going to lick her face, but he scratched her on accident, and seeing that he was an Am Staff Terrier, her parents called the police on us. So after being questioned, we had to get him put down, and that was the hardest thing I have EVER had to go through. Actually, I started crying while writing this.... He was only 4 1/2, and we'd only had him for 3 yrs... I wish that I would've been the one to walk him that day... I always regret that...

Something important to know about cats is that their average internal temperature is 102F degrees. We've tried rescuing kittens abandoned by our cats before and the best you can do for heat if you don't have a lamp is to put a heating pad under them or to keep them close to your body. A human's warmth isn't as good as another cat's but sometimes it helps. Whether he was too cold you'll never know. His eyes being crusted over is usually an indication that he might be sick, so chances are that he may have died no matter what you did. I actually don't watch your stuff, but your video happened to be in the related of that of someone I do follow, and I watched you try. For someone who'd never done it before you did a better job than I would have expected. The nutrient the kitten needed in the milk replacer for the best chance to thrive was colostrum. I remember using a formula that had some for a wild cottontail rabbit orphaned when someone mowed over their den. Just like the kitten, the rabbit died, though in my case it's possible I fed it buds from the yard that were toxic. I won't tell you not to feel bad because you will anyway, but know that you tried your best and that's all it could ask for. This first kitten was a learning experience for if you ever encounter another that needs the same help. It sounds very daunting, but things like vaccines are things that technically you can be a little more lax with. Our kittens constantly came into contact with other cats that weren't consistently vaccinated with no issues. If you're worried, keeping the cat that is going to be in contact with it vaccinated should be fine. I think I'm rambling. Anyway. I felt the need to leave well wishes to you despite everyone else doing the same because I know what it feels like to watch an animal die in your care. It's a terrible feeling, even if the circumstances are beyond your control. Just remember that it's not your fault.

Stacy, you're my favorite KZbinr and a role model to me. I know how you're feeling; Not only do I love animals with all my heart and soul like you, I've tried to save a hurt animal before... I just wanted you to know that even though he died, he died knowing that there was at least one person in this world that cared about his existence and knew about him and loved him... It's so sad and hard to have happen, I know that. So I'm not gonna say don't be sad.. But Stacy, did you know that the kitten wouldn't have lasted another hour without you? Stacy, you don't need to worry about all the possibilities that could have been. When I was about 8 I fostered a momma cat and her five kittens with my family. The kittens had so many problems with their eyes and we worried that they weren't getting enough milk and so many other things. I think it was with in the first few days that one of the boys died. We were so upset because that was our first time fostering animals. We still kept on going though but then another died. We were down to the mother cat, her two daughters, and her son. Little Fabian, the last boy, was hanging on barely and eventually had to let go. It was an extremely emotional experience for my sister and I especially. We got through it in the end though and have the momma cat and her two daughters 4 years later. So don't worry about it Stacy! In the end, life goes on and that kitten probably died happier then he would have if it weren't for the fact that you tried so hard. Stay strong Stacy, you tried your best and that's what really matters.

Cristina Loredo wanna hear a sad story listen here I have a puppy a kitty about a week ago they slept in my dogs old house the morning came I wake up and I go get food for them (cat and dog food) gave the kitty some cat food and a Lil bit of milk I named her paws she is a beautiful white kitty the puppy I named love puppy bc he has a giant heart on his tummy I gave him dog food then I went and got a litter box when I get home there gone never seen them sense I feel as though it was a fox or a wolf I lived near a forest (I moved bc I saw a wolf eating a puppy :c by the time I got there I realized it was mine it was spot and I managed to scare the wolf off my getting Wolfie out he is my dog he's a husky but he eats moose antlers :| the wolf ran off bc he bit him it lived luckily I thank God for everything he did for me 😇😇😇😇

stay you are NOT the reason the cat died. also I feel your pain ,I had a cat not even it was a kitten. and one day my aunt ran it over R.I.P kitten. but it was on action ,and we had an other cat that was pregnant. she had A LOT of babies, we named her calee. but some of the babies didn't make it I was really sad and crying. I was really little to so we kept the cats. some we gave away the others ran away. but we have 2 cats they are twin's. named little balls and big balls. so its not your fault Stacy I hop you feel better.:)

I have two cats with this disease! They'll have it for there whole life but it can be treated. But normally it doesn't present itself until they get a little older but since he was so young there was no chance. They disease starts with the eyes becoming goopy and snotty. The kitten has upper respiratory disease. So I'm sorry but there was no chance. I watch it happen so much outside so I'm pretty sure I know what it is.

I'm so sorry I found a 1 day old kitten on the road I screamed at my dad and he stopped. I ran out of the car and put on my gloves (My mom packs them everywhere) and picked it up. We were on the way home so I Asked my dad to go as fast as he could. When we got home I called vet. The little kitten was a Baby Milquetoast. I cried so hard I thought I would I would faint. The kitten survived 2 days and then it sadly passed away. I really Wanted To keep the kitten. 1 week after that we went to a Shelter Where they killed dogs... I just really needed one there so one lucky dog wouldn't die. We called the Dog Charli. It was A Yorkie and its mom died when it was 3 days old. It was now 3 YRS OLD. It's Not really dog like and its scared of people. I'm just glad that we could Rescue a cat or dog. I'm still bummed about the baby milquetoast. I hope any other cat/Dog I see I can save. I once had an experience like this too. It's important to remember that he is in a better place. If he had gotten better, he might have had lasting side effects that would have made life harder for him. You may not feel like you did enough, but you made his last hours a little easier. Eah I'm still young, I was crying all day when I was at the funeral, we burned him when we died because we didn't have enough money to. I'm happy bwcuase he,gave me a pillow 2 years ago on Christmas eve saying "Merry Christmas!" I probably wrong, my uncle my moms brother died on cancer when I was 5 months old too.

Stacy, the cat died Because God chose and knew that the kitten was going through some bad stuff and you should not beat yourself up about it Because the kitten is a better place now there is no way that the cat is down in you know where but the cat is not there because of you and because the kitten pushed through and lived a good life in the end because of you and I don't think the cat would have gone down to you know because he did not do anything bad ether.

The one thing that you need to know about cats is that they go where they want to go, if he was going to go then he was going to go and you made it so he didn't go without care. Cats are fickle creatures. my cat died about 2 years ago and I was devastated and it was my first brush with death (I was only 10). I still think of him now and I feel sad sometimes. You did everything you possibly could and you can't blame yourself in the slightest, Let the birds of grief fly over your head but never let them make a nest in your hair. Love you Stacy xxx
