Hi Stacy I wanted to inform you about your bunny situation. Any animal with you is going to be happy. Make sure they have plenty of hay and water at all times. I am a Arba rabbit breeder and the point of my job is to better the genetics of the animal so it can live a happy and long life. Stacy I'm here to answer your questions about rabbits! First off you are correct, If your going to keep a rabbit in a hutch for all of its live then that's hugely cruel to it! But as you said sadly a lot of people don't educate themselves on this issue. Rabbits should be house rabbits, they can as you said be easily littered trained and love running around the house. If you cant give it a full house to run around something like a big dog pen where they can still run around in is great! My rabbits are half and half, half the time they live in the big pen, and then the other half of the time there house rabbits (they love running around). They love to do binkys (look it up the cutest thing you will ever see) and there also really affectionate. My rabbits love coming up to me and headbutting me for pats. Their diet should be 90% grass hay, and then vegetables and if you want too a good pellet mix. They make such great companion animals and really do brighten up your live, if you look after them the right way. It would be great if you could talk about this on your channel, even just to help educate people! There 's also a lot more information online on house rabbits and the importance of it. :)

I have two rabbits named Matthias and Ivy. They live outside in a 8 by 11 foot bunny ranch that me and my dad built. We saved them from a falconer who was gonna use them for food for his hawks. Our rabbits are super chubby and living it up in a great home. You should totally get rabbits Stacy, they are so fun and sweet.

We had two rabbits. Sadly, neither of them are with us anymore. Now we had a hutch for them, but we also built a fence around the hitch so we could let them out once and a while so they could hop around and do what they please. Now this may be a different situation for you Stacy because of where the cabin is and since its in the woods. But, I totally get where you're coming from with the hutch situation and I totally agree!

My Mamaw recently passed and she was born October 2, 1916 and passed April 9, 2016. She lived 99 years, 6 months, and a week. (At the time) She had 12 kids, 34 grand kids, 46 great grand kids, 15 great great grand kids, and 5 great great great grand kids and 3 great great grand kids on the way. Ok you might not see this but about rabbits, I had 2 mini lops and they were fine in a fairly sized hutch but whenever I let them out to run around the yard at least once a day they would do 180's, skip really fast, jump around really high and according to a rabbit manual, that behavior ment, I don't know how to show how happy I am right now! If you got rabbits you would have to take the responsibility of loving them, taking them out to play with you holding them if they like to be held. I think they would manage fine in a hutch pretty much all day (Maybe with at least one companion) as long, as you tried to get them to run around or be free at least once a day. All I know is, food, water, a safe hutch, love and attention, and an opportunity to stretch their legs will make for happy bunnies! Just also remember they use the bathroom quite a bit so cadge cleaning depending on the size and how much your rabbit uses the bathroom, cadge cleaning would need to be done every day, or every other day, maybe every 3 days if your lucky unless your rabbit like the one you had when you were a kid was potty trained, then I don't know.

Rabbits are a lot of work!! Rabbit need lots of social time. They also need lots of space to run. Rabbit should always have a partner and it takes lots of time to bond rabbits. Also there diet is very strict and takes a lot of research. I think you could own a rabbit but you would need to let them run around outside you could buy a x-pen for the rabbit to run around in because they need to graze like horses and cows. You really should do a lot of research about rabbits before trying to buy one. I love how you take care of your pets but no rabbits can not just be in a hutch. I own a rabbit and it has its own room if that tells you anything.

I recommend you join a 4-H rabbit club if you haven't already! I have two rabbits, ones a junior buck, and ones a senior buck and they always fight so I keep them separate. If you don't know what a buck is, it's a male rabbit. 😋

You can get a mini fence that you can connect from both sides put it outside in the summer. Rabbits love to hop around in the grass and the fence would make sure nothing bad could happen to it or that it wouldn't hop away. If you put the fence in a patch of dandelions they would love it ☺️ I use to have a couple bunnies, I miss them.

I had 2 bunnies and... They are as much responsibility as dogs if not more. I had to walk mine, clean they're cage every 3 days, feed them, let them have at least 1 hour of exercise. They are SOOOO much work to make them happy!

I totally get what you are saying about having a rabbit as a pet! I have one right now, I have a huge dog kennel for him outside for him to run around in during the summer, and in the winter I have a small room for him in my house. I'd say he has a pretty good life but every once in a while he does like to escape and run around my yard. He never strays far but putting him back in his cage always makes my heart hurt for him.

I used to have two rabbits. We used to keep them in cages and then every morning we would let them run around the backyard and for a little while around the house throughout the day. They were pretty happy too with all the treats we would give them too, they loved yogurt drops :)
