I learned something new, IDK why I thought they couldn't have phones. I too think sending snail mail is cute too, especially not being able to see your partner. TFS!

I loved those little care packages you showed! I bet getting those while being deployed is super comforting. Communication has come so far and though a deployment and being away from your significant other sounds rough (😬😫), I think the advances that have been made regarding technology and communication helps make it a little less rough. I remember emailing my dad a lot when he was deployed when I was younger. I totally agree with chatting about the mundane stuff. I think it helps your significant other get to experience your day in away and vice versa. And haha, I also like to vent and I’m usually not looking for advice or a grand plan to solve my problem. I usually ask people when they vent to me so they want advice or do they need me to just listen 💕🙂
@athomewithtroy16904 жыл бұрын
Yes just in the years we have been married so much has changed so we can communicate better and that is definitely a blessing! I loved making the care packages it's fun to theme them. Thanks so much for watching. Every time someone who is not affiliated with the military watches my videos it gives the information out there to people that may need it so I really appreciate your watching and your like. 💛

Girl you are such an awesome person. I go one day without my husband and I feel out of place. It’s so good that ways of communication has improved. Care packages from home must be the best. This is such a good and informative video. Thanks for sharing!!😊🌟

💕 Great video! I've been a mil spouse for about 10 years and never been through a deployment. He was supposed to but it got cancelled.. gotta love the military and their constantly changing plans lol. We were apart for 17 months when he went to flight school though. I'd estimate we've spent about 3-4 years apart too (not consistently). Hope you're all doing well! 💕 I'm the SAME way! I don't want help, I just wanna whine and someone listen 😂 after that I feel better. Lol

Hey thank you for the video, how do you cope with the feelings that come with it when you are worried, missing each other so much? like can you cry on the phone? What if something big or bad comes up at home, do you tell them?
@athomewithtroy16902 жыл бұрын
I would suggest 1st talking to your partner. It doesnt change anything but it can be comforting to tell them your feelings. 2nd try to distract your self and stay busy, exercise or find a hobby you like. Whether or not to tell them bad news is a personal choice you and your partner should talk about, but if you can handle it alone then try.
@appleapple19972 жыл бұрын
@@athomewithtroy1690 thank you for the advice! but then does it now mean putting pressure on them cause you are feeling overwhelmed? or in your own experience, have you ever need to deal with these situations? also whats your take on being in the military shaped the way you are thinking or being more masculine, or avoid talking about feelings? Is this element taught while training where its the same for everyone?
