I have found this to be true: good hearted people spiritually repel those that aren’t. They want to bring you down to their level to feel comfortable.

I agree with you so much! Teaching in the public schools for me was traumatic! I loved teaching but the best day for me was when I retired!

Thank you for this Tracy. I have been going through this with a co”worker, and have set up those boundaries. I find that customers prefer to seek me over her, due to her negative attitude that she displays and than turns around to be nice to the customer. They get it very quickly!! I chose to be happy in spite of my circumstances, a car accident left me almost totally blind over 20 years ago, I chose right away to forgive, the drunk driver, and to prayer for him. This is set me up for all these years to always seek to be good, and this didn’t happen overnight Most gracious!

Thank you for sharing your story and how you overcame your pain and struggle and chose happiness and kindness. This is a perfect example of despite what you endured, you have choices in how you show up to yourself and others. God Bless you for setting yourself free through prayer and forgiveness.

I know of a manager that hired an assistant manager that now hates him like crazy! Why? Because he's well liked, everyone goes to him for help. She's doing everything she can to make him miserable and quit. It's sad really.

This reminds me of Robert Greene's book about the "Laws". Never overshadow the master. Be good at work, but not better than the boss. It is very sad.

Oh my gosh, you have NO IDEA how much this type of content is needed. THANK YOU for addressing this topic. Can we also mention how these type of people get others on their bandwagon and create cliques that make the situation worse. PLEASE consider making this topic a series. Myself and others (I suspect) could use a wise take on this workplace phenomenon that is way too common. God Bless you for the work that you do ❤

Yea! I had a next door neighbor do that to me when I was young. She was so jealous of me and my children and started bad mouthing me in the neighborhood and at the school Mother’s Club. I felt like a lepper. Finally, many became wise to her but it was very difficult at the time. I felt like a prisoner in my own home and It was so bad that we ended up moving. I went through it for 5 years. I would handle it different today because I’m more resilient as I’ve aged.

@@sassysandie2865 I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Hating on other women is something only insecure, emotionally immature people do. They only feel well about themselves when they tear down others. Ladies encourage and support each other. Brings to mind the saying "Real queens adjust each other's crowns"

I've had a difficult coworker that sounds similar to the one you described. Fortunately, I didn't have to work with her every day, and it was only for about 6 years. I learned to grow through the difficulty. I wouldn't choose that type of situation, but I'm glad for what I learned.

Hi Tracy ,I'm a 26 yr old gal in FL & have gratefully absorbed your message for several years. I always look forward to your words & everything you share. You've been a irreplaceable influence in my life , I truly view you as my mom replacement, as my mother was a angry abusive woman. You're content is so valuable to me... I was gifted a puppy at 11 years old & she was the one who brought me sunshine through the years of abuse. I'm happy to say my puppy Missy & I made it to a amazingly happy & prosperous life, & sadly on sunday at 15 years old her time came to be promoted to heaven. Would you consider making a video on losing someone so dear to you ? Thank you for all you do

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your puppy, Missy. You must be completely heartbroken, and it would make sense that you would be considering the beautiful life you had with her and how healing having her in your life was. Thank you for sharing your thoughtful story about how valuable my messages have been for you. I'm touched. Take your time to heal. There is no need to rush it. You are in good hands.

It seems like there’s always one person at every place I’ve ever worked who has done that to me. I was always cheerful, friendly and attractive and some women can’t handle that and want to make you miserable. So glad I’m retired. It was draining and a real joy robber.

Thank you. Most of my working years have been self-employed, but prior to raising my children all places of employment I worked at had at least one jealous, negative tyrant that compromised the atmosphere. It is draining and makes one dread going to work day-after-day.

That sounds like our accounting manager. Debbie Downer or Negative Nancy always complaining about others and being unhappy and angry. A lot of us avoid her and don’t want to deal with her. She knows that and it makes her ever angrier. It’s better to avoid and stay away from people like that and ignore them.
