Not quite. I have one vehicle (a pickup truck) that I used to wash once a year, or two. I ended up with patches of clear coat missing where the bug guts + sun + time completely dissolved the clear coat. Paint is fine underneath. I fixed it with a bit of wet sanding and a can of clear coat. Ended up ok, since white paint is so easy to work with, but I suspect that the damage would have been worse on a darker car.

John, 99,99% of you videos are excellent, but I disagree with this one: I see no reason to drag all those bugs around inside a single brush. Also, looks like a lot of work. The fact that you think a soft brush clearing bug residue will lead to swirls on a clear coated car by virtue of the fact that it is black tells me that you’re just trying to make out that you know more about detailing/paint than you do because you’re essentially saying one could lightly run their finger over a black car and it’s going to lead to some marring or paint defect 😂

I also have a problem with my foam but i can't find one because it is a home brand. So that sucks, i make sure to use the best foam i can find and work with what i have. I also start to think of useing ph neutral cleaners, is it really better? For you i would say do it with what you have if the pump spray is good then why not? There is also a foam cannon for a garden hose but i dont know if they will do the job. I bought my pressure washer i came with a plastic foam cannon it does the job i guess. Have a Nice Day and thank you again! I will see what i can do. Work with what you have right?

How do you find your m4 on track I find them rather heavy and clumbersome compared to the M2 which I much prefer

The CS is lighter than m2. I love it on track but just can't commit with it for fear if wipe out. M2 is wicked though. Maybe more fun than m4

The bugs bleed of with bilt hamber touchless when sprayed on dry then pressure rinse after and there gone

At this point you might as well just do a quick one bucket wash on the front end

What LSP is currently on your paintwork? Sorry if I missed it.

It's hydra wax

A coating would be ideal for this exact situation. A foam and rinse would of removed 99% of the bugs

Hi John great videos as always. How about doing one on tyre pressure gauges? I'm sure mine isn't accurate but i have no way of testing it. 👍👍 Ps. watched that vid you did the other day of you playing tennis and no offence but Stephen hawking would have taken you to 5 sets i reckon 😂😂😂👍👍👍 really enjoying the channel 👍

The Michellin digital guage is good and accurate. Tested against my PCL Accura digital inflator which is a calibrated instrument.

Why not just stop off at a services and jet wash and drive home slowly. No bugs no water spots and no swirls?
@barrybij80792 жыл бұрын
good stuff... you must have a water deionizer ... I would have hard water spots all over
