Rinseless works most of the time but if I need to bust out something stronger than just an apc will do the job. Imo bug removers are a waste of money.

This Gyeon product is my favorite I’ve tried so far. Not very economical, but it’s the closest I’ve gotten to contactless bug removal. I live near the Outer Banks on the Currituck Sound in NC, so bugs are VERY heavy here. I spray it on in the shade and let it soak for several minutes, misting water occasionally if it’s particularly hot out and it starts to dry. I usually follow with another light coat after several minutes and let that soak for a while longer. After a total of probably 5-10 minutes, I spray it with a strong hose setting and it removes probably 95% of the bugs. If I had a pressure washer, it very well may result in removing them entirely without any contact.

I just pressure wash and then rinseless pre-treat & wash the vehicle with n914. While I was I soak a Jersey bug scrubber in a stronger dilution of n914 about 32:1. After the vehicle is washed I work on the bugs with the bug scrubber & dry. If that doesn’t get it which is rare I will use mineral spirits to remove anything left on the paint. Works for me nearly every time. If these don’t work they’re most likely etchings which will have to be polished and/or sanded away

P&S bug off. I have tried them all. It all depends if your washing it after or just trying to remove. Lot of stuff has bad effects if not washed off after.

I use P&S Bug Off within a foamer and it does great if fresh kills but then follow up with Jersey Bug Scrubber from The Rag Company. It lives in my wash buckets just for those stuck bug guts.

I love Sonax insect remover! I think it's just a little bit better than the Gyeon.

Thankfully I don’t really deal with bugs where I live but anytime we go on a road trip we take a rental and those get splattered with bugs. APC seems to work but a contact wash is needed to fully remove the bugs

I use Superior Dark Fury 1:4 . Far more economical and highly effective on bugs. Plus it’s versatile

Doesn't Bilt Hamber Surfex-HD APC doesn't work as well? Or is there something special about BUG removers?
@lazyjacket Жыл бұрын
They are more gentle, and use enzyme instead of brute force.

Always used Surfex HD on my non-coated and coated cars and it works perfectly... simply dilute 1:20 to not remove ceramic coatings and 1:10 is good for not coated cars. ;)

my car is graphene coating. i usually use a synthetic clay pad to remove bugs from the front bumper (tesla model y). it collects A LOT of dirt and bugs. my question, is the clay pad removing the coating as well? whats the best way to remove caked on bugs without removing the coating. I have the graphene kit, and can always re-apply, but dont want to have to every time i clay. i also touch up the coating with 303 graphene or meguiars ceramic quick wax.

Is the detail brush just for show or do you actually do that on every car? What pressure washer do you use for outside washes and what PSI. Thanks
