01.15.2024 Thank you Pastor Begg for this sermon. We all need a solid Scriptural teaching/answer to help us to deal with stress, etc; rather than putting on a false smile & trying to live by a little jingle as: "don't worry, be happy." 🙏 👑

I need help with alcohol. Please pray for me. It’s literally a day to day battle. One day I win, one day I don’t. I can’t keep doing this and I don’t want to but I can’t help myself. I’m embarrassed to admit that. I want Jesus to be my lord and savior and owner of my life and I want to serve him.

I'm one of 7 boys in my family and the last 4 of us each had problems with addiction. My mom went to Al-Anon in my teen years due to my dad's drinking. I lost one brother to suicide 40 years ago. My mom's friends would talk about AA and I just laughed. A friend asked me to go with him due to his drinking too much and I did. It took about 6 months for me to admit I am and will always be an addict/alcoholic. Nothing ever worked for me that I tried on my own. For me pride was a big obstacle to overcome. I would look at the future without my vices and say no thanks. Truth be told I had no real happiness with them. I know it was the grace of God that got me sober and I couldn't have done it alone. You are in my prayers. 🙏😊🙏

Wow. Just yesterday, our pastor gave a message on Matthew 11, verses 28-30 where Pastor Begg also references at 17:47 and for about one minute beyond ( “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” -NASB) Indeed. Our God is an awesome God who keeps His promises.

It's kind of hard seeing the positive side of life after spending majority of it addicted to heroin, fentanyl and alcohol, going through divorce, losing my career as an architect, losing my recording studio, spending years homeless, sleeping in the freezing rain and snow or spending days and nights in jail, being stabbed and robbed at gunpoint countless times often angry at the world, neglected, depressed and suicidal as I watched my acquaintances die. God works in ways that don't always make sense at that particular point but then I realize that life can always be harder and those experiences in life help me better relate to those who are going through similar situations. Although that lifestyle took a huge toll on my health and I barely made it home to witness my dad take his last breath on the bathroom floor from a heart failure, I can't wait to personally thank God and Lord Jesus Christ for everything He has done for me. I bow my knee to the King of kings and will spend whatever days I have left spreading the Gospel of Him who died even for a sinner like me.

Thank you for the New Covenant in Christ Jesus, the Eternal Covenant and the greater promises that are ours too in Christ Jesus. Our Shalom Shalom. The Prince of Peace. Our Great High Priest. He invites me to come boldly, without fear and find help in my times of need. Shalom Shalom. "What sustains your mind? What do you lay your mind upon? What upholds your mind? What does your mind stand fast upon? What is your mind established upon? What does your mind lean upon? To have this perfect peace, your mind cannot occasionally come to and lean upon the LORD; it has to be stayed on Him.". (Enduring Word Commentary ) You will keep me in perfect peace as my mind is stayed on You. I trust in You. Help me to rest here, keep my eyes, my thoughts, my mind, my heart fixed on You. We come to Mount Zion, the City of our God. I enter Your gates with thanksgiving in my heart filled with praise. You are my God and I will bless and exhault You. In my times of trouble You are here with me. Jehovah Shammah. My heart is fixed on You. Jehovah Shalom.

This man lives by every word that proceeds out the mouth of Paul. Due.8.3And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Mat.4.4¶But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

@mikemccormick9667 4¶But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God 3And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Not just some of the words, not just Paul's words . Men twist Paul's words to make up their own religious denominations. How do you know, or anyone else, that the Commandments of God are written on your heart? Hebrews 8:6-12 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. You are graphed in ? You are redeemed from the curse of the Law, you were bought for a price. The death penalty was owed. Messiah paid the debt. Should we continue to live without God's Law. Without God's Law is sin. Should we continue to sin ? God forbid. You can cry Jesus Jesus, but to continue wilfully without God's Law after accepting Jeaus , is not good. Work out your own salvation, but I would do so within confines of Scripture. You can follow the LORD, or you can follow the people at your church. Peace.

@mikemccormick9667 Mat.13.38¶Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39¶But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Mat.16.21¶From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Threedays, three nights, raised on the third day. This doesn't work from friday to Sunday, not Thursday to Sunday. It doest work from Wednesday to Sunday morning. To end on a day, you have to begin with a night. Jhn.19.14And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! This verse says He was crucified on the eve of Passover, not the day before the weekly Sabbatth, and it was close to sundown, the beginning of the next day. That why they was breaking legs Jhn.19.31¶The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. Biblical Days begin and end at sundown, preparation means before. Point is, Friday at sundown until Sunday at sunrise is one day and a half. No matter what day you begin on, the half day is a mistake. It's a dead giveaway. Nothing in Scripture anywhere about a half day. Lord of the Sabbath, not Sunday. Remember Sunday to keep it holy? Peace

Let's ask another question. Why should we expect anything good? We have lost our rights at the corporate threshold, we humor Machiavellian bosses, we lose out promotions to the boss' cronies, we're pressured for results but then the work is ignored, and, and, and. It's a wonder that anything good happens at all.
