great video yes again mate you really getting going with this build think you and your mate make a great team he needs to start getting on this channel more often and for nuts and bolts newer bmws arent zinc coated anymore so even after 5 years a f series can start being a nightmare on removing nuts n bolts trust me from working at bmw specialist with my mate few years back we start to notice

Thanks for the comment buddy. My glamourous assistant aka Jason will definitely be on the channel more in future! You're right about the bolts, it's a little frustrating really but even with a zinc coating, bolts don't stay corrosion free for that long =( we have a plan of attack which you will see in a future video.

Glad to hear 😁 yes mate totally agree and interested in this new plan of yours 😁 how did we ever manage with out impact tools hey 🤪 at my old place we used a hydrolic press thing that bolts onto the hub and you wind the driveshaft through also had another tool that fed the driveshaft back into position makes life so much easier 😊

Thank God for impact tools mate 🤣 it's satisfying putting stuff back together with hand tools, but for undoing stuff.. Impact guns all the way 🤣🤣

Yes mate with in reason but sometimes can snap heads clean off but its luck of the draw ive got a 3/8 80 teeth snap on ratchet love using that aswell but best tool as to be the electric ratchet i really would b lost with out that

I always think. If it's gonna snap, it'll snap whatever I undo it with, so may aswell send it with the gun 😂😂. Agree tho, electric ratchets are the absolute god send

Can I ask out of curiosity why all this for a BMW? Why alll this for a car that’s not worth more then £6k I don’t get it……. I mean surely a Audi would be better then this

@@HardlyExotic I had 2 7 years ago a 328i and a M3 never again I would rather stick to my RS5 I don’t understand the passion and following for that brand I really don’t there is way much better handling and performing cars that beat these hands down as a daily driver. I get a big satisfaction when I see the them getting crushed 😄

@@HardlyExotic I think a lot of it is they are cheap to buy when destroyed anyone can buy one with Vauxhall money where as other cars like Audi , Ferrari , Porsche , lambo , lotus are no way near that price even broken and of course everyone wants them these cars are trashed and thrown out. My brother owns a breakers where he breaks these on a daily we go round targeting these for non road tax just to break them for parts as there is a lot of people like yourself who like to restore them so it’s a win win for him.

@@RossWhite-u5s I agree, for a daily driver you can find much better cars than an E36. My current daily is E38 728i. The most comfort, reliable and value for money. E36 is great for b roads and race track, E38 great for comfort and you can leave anywhere and not worry because value is so low. Tell me how much did the RS5 cost? If RS5 was £2100 as my E38 I would buy an RS5 to daily, but I expect it was not 2.1k 🙂

@@HardlyExotic no your right my RS5 is 2018 and I paid £37k for mine. Yeah I get what you mean but also all these people buy these not understanding your pumping money into something that ain’t worth much more later on at least with my RS5 and other cars I mentioned you can buy it today for that price invest in to it and it’s still worth that if not more in 5-6 years. BMW isn’t that way I mean I see M3 broken and not running everyday and people can’t even get £10k for them to be honest there really isn’t that much money in bmw you just have to love them for what they are if your wanting to make money they really ain’t cars to make money on a lot of sweat blood and tears go into them for no reward later on just to be treated like crap by the next person
