I haven't even finished the video, but I have to say that this is EXACTLY the level of service I would expect from Dean based on all of the videos I have seen over the last few years. Communication with the customer is, unfortunately something that is often overlooked or rushed for the sake of a sale. Every aspect of this experience seems to be focused on not just getting the job done but getting it done RIGHT. If I ever get anywhere near Five Star and need work done, there is zero chance I would go anywhere else. Kudos to Dean, Fernando and Five Star for maintaining such a high level of service and integrity.

I quit installing after 9 years, for a job in automotive manufacturing. For 16 years, I just dabbled with car stereo. Mainly my own personal vehicles. I don't think I'll have to tell you how much you and Fernando mean to me as installers with your knowledge but even more importantly is your friendships. As so many have said over and over again, me/we would not be where we are at without you two and your unique style of videos and the bar setting, industry-leading, do it right the first time and be honest style of installing that we all have fell in love with. Big Thanks to Dean and Fernando, i’ve been thinking about upgrading my audio system in my 9th gen civic for years, i finally had the drive and done it, with kicker key because of you guys, Now i’m wondering what made me wait that long to upgrade it, now my car feels like new, always excited to drive it. Now I know why you should be the Installer of the Year. I fell asleep not because this was boring just to be clear, rather in a dream state it was crazy. Going through all that, I turned into Fernando and got tangled into a rainbow bowl of spaghetti wire noodles and started choking out trying to connect myself to the ground and got amped and power dropped into the relay and came out as sound from my head unit that the sound that I was that sound of a gazoo. Them telling me that I won't get my factory speakers back and that they had to ruin them was a slap in the face. I am unfortunately in the process of finding another place to fix the mess they made.

I wish I had someone in my state that cares as much and sets up the system like Dean does. A few times, I've had to go behind some of our local installers and fix problems they caused. The Check Engine light, ABS warning light, speaker wires hanging out of the dash are a few. A bluetooth ODB dongle can bebought on ebay for less than $20 to reset all of the warning lights. The stereo settings are as they were when the parts came out of the box, with zero tuning. Even the clock has not been set. I've had to turn around and return to the shop and ask for the owners manual after I left and couldn't get the clock set. I didn't want them after they dug them out of the trash since they had tobacco spit all over them. I guess the trash can was the double duty type and was thier spit toon also. Dean even cleans the finger prints off the screen before he returns it to the customer. I would have been happy if the guys that did mine picked up all of the zip tie trimmings and speaker wire clippings out of the seat and floor boards. Dean is only 16 hours away from me, i might need to take my next vacation in his town and leave my truck with him so he can do a 911 on it.

When I had to fix cut oem radio harnesses that were that short I just got any random reverse harness instead of trying to use that .25 inch of wire

for those watching today, my '22 WRX entire audio sucks. The solution I found is, since I already ran new door speaker wires, I am going to install a boat/mobile audio media/digital media center that has either the remotely located head unit with dash controller or just the kind that is the dash controller with everything integrated. I just will use my phone for all my audio, since that's what I do anyway.

I have never found a way to pause live HD. Photoshop or some other editor is the best way to make image. Using the as card for images is the easiest way to input them

Hey i just installed an alpine ilx w670. I have a reverse camera. But im confused with this whole hand brake wire and another long wire behind the head unit. Im sure alpine goofed while writing wiring diagram so im sure you know of a quick n easy way to wire it? Please help. The alpine schematics make it seem like the long wire needs a positive wire from parking brake. But then another article states lead to reverse light so idk what they are wanting. I would like to be able to touch auxiliary and use reverse camera any time i want. If you havent seen the new w670 wiring schematics it is a bit misreading. I have installed several alpine decks over the yrs but this is the first one with a reverse camera? Please simplify?

Can you please help me?? Lol I have a 2001 chevy blazer that had a ac-delco that would cut out and always had noise when the truck was running onley..thought it was the radio and I just changed it out for a new one and have the same problem. Is it the ground or something else. The new one will cut out even on bluetooth for a split second when I turn volume up. But if the truck is not running withe key turned on I have no problems at all. I have a new sub and amp to but I'm scared to hook it up til I get this problem solved..any help would be so appreciated!! Thank you!
