I find I miss a lot of hook up on the dongle, I have had Ray's on the dongle, I had a beauty of a Small eye on a prawn down Monknash recently but I think you get better hook ups, particularly Ray's on a Pennal.

I'm still 50.50 at mo mate, think il use it down the channel for smaller rays but stick to my normal for the blondes

another great session , learning slowly how to tie my own rigs as its all part of the fun for me , do you just use a loop in the braid to hold the dongle on to the bait clip and not an actual piece of hardware ? also what knot do you use to attach the braid to the hook to hold it in place as when Ive been practicing tying it they just seem to slip cheers in advance for any help

Hi mate, just a 20mm loop I use, at the hook end I tie a knot leave a small tag end and burn it down to the knot if that makes sense, reason why just a loop and no hardware it's less to get snagged up

@@deanbooker3314 Makes perfect sense , seen loads of variations on what people use for the clip and sometimes I think you may as well just be using a standard pennel with the size of the thing your using to clip it , the braid and loop make way more sense , thanks for the tip
