I lived in Nashville for many years, and would go see Dean sing whenever he would perform at different places. I remember the first time was at Opryland in the late 70's or early 80's. I also saw him at the Nashville Palace. It would be many years later, while I was living and working for the USDA-Forest Service at Wrangler Horse Campground at Land Between the Lakes, that I would get to sit by Dean's fire at his campsite, where he would graciously entertain many of us with his music. Every time he visited our campground in Kentucky, which was about 100 miles north of Nashville, he would share his stories of horseback riding out west in the Rockies and other places with us. This man is a true national treasure, and one of the nicest most down to earth people I have ever met from the music industry, and as my husband worked many years at Opryland I met a lot of them. In my opinion, there will never be any other writer as prolific and brilliant as Dean Dillon. I live far away from Nashville now in Florida, but I would so love to see him come down here for a performance.

Classic Dean D. I spent some time around this man several years ago...cross paths a few times since...and still I am speechless hearing so many of these songs. I perform several of them and never ever say "here's a George Strait song"...but "here's a Dean Dillon song." I mean this man makes these songs come alive. My mentor and dear friend Larry Butler introduced me to him and several other country songwriters and great talents all. But, of all of them...this guy's songs just stuck in my head. I hardly even played any country music back then and today I can guarantee you when I play there's always a Dean Dillon song in my set! He truly is the "James Taylor" of country music! Good job also in this production...good sound, editing and production! Gus H.

The guitar really sounds nice. A combination of guitar, mic, and control booth EQ (and good soulful playing). Excellent sound. I should go further here... the voice and guitar mix and the reverb is just super. You can hear a whisper and the overall quality of the audio is about as good as it gets.

Absolutely excellent sound and balance ... however there's no mic on the guitar, it's all piezo-electric. But it's also the one tone down tuning, and the "drop D" that turns to be a "drop C" that gives the guitar that special "harp" sound.

That's exactly what I was thinking when he started playing! I couldn't believe how dialed in they had that guitar.
