I love the Cadillac! That’s Dean to me. I’d love to see Dean bring back the 80’s mini “explorer” with the inverted head stock. Don’t know why they’ve ignored that head stock shape 🤷🏻‍♂️ Had a friend that had 1 in the early 80’s. Super cool guitar!

Of course you’re the man to go to for new Dean content 🤘😂 not a fan that they’ve kept on the Dimebag guitars. The zero/vengeance thing kinda works for them as there wasn’t any public bad blood with Mustaine but that’s not the case with the Abbotts estate. I think it was a missed opportunity to gain traction with some modern ml designs.

The ML in tobacco burst and slime burst are literally some of their best selling guitars, Dean would be foolish not to re-release them without Dime's name attached. The Abbott estate aside, both Dime and Vinnie have been gone for a while now. It's one thing to profit on Dime name, it's another to keep his legacy alive with his favorite guitar. It's not like they re-released the "Dean from hell," I'm sure that would have been some kind of trademark infringement.

Just because Dean has a booth NAMM doesn’t mean they’re “back.” Some years back I saw that B.C. Rich had a big ass booth & some big credible names with them and they clearly weren’t, “back.” With this in mind, I saw plenty of Deans in recent years that weren’t of great quality. *EDIT* I do love the look of Wayne’s guitars! I’d be down to check one of those out!

I met Dean when I was working with Bob Rissi not long after Dean had started building the brand and he was a cool dude. In my humble opinion, the very best of the best Dean guitars were built under his leadership and during that era.

How crazy is it that there are barely any maple fretboards anymore!? I feel like 99% of the footage I've seen so far of NAMM is all ebony/dark rosewood. Sorry random thought, but I agree with what you said about the Dean Cadillac looking cool if it'd had a light fretboard

I ain't believing anything unless I start seeing Deans in stores around me again... I live in Tampa and I have NOT seen a single brand new Dean on the wall in years... hell, there's that weird-ass EIGHT STRING MULTI-SCALE KAHLER ML that's been sitting and being very sad on the wall at the Tampa Bay Guitar Center for a few years now unsold at a hilariously high price. The lineup looks great don't get me wrong, but with banks getting real mad at Armadillo and the Rubinson family still going at it in court, the future isn't going to get better for Dean unless they can start actually shipping out guitars in bulk. :|

They have lots of different headstocks. They even had a whole line of their signature shapes with straight 6 headstocks at one point. They had a straight 6 Caddy there at NAMM. Besides that, Dean fans like the V headstock.

So the Gran Sport is discontinued now? I know that was one of the models that were supposed to stop making because of the Gibson lawsuit. That sucks! The Dean USA Gran Sport is an incredible guitar!
