I met this girl through a wrong number I had called. I was trying to call my buddy Bob and ended up talking to this girl. We talked for hours and days passed and I forgot to get that girls number. One day out of the blue the phone rang, it was the girl I had talked to for hours a few days ago. This time I was smart enough to get her number............That was 43 years ago, two children and five grand children and all because of a wrong number! I don't know if it was fate but I'm sure glad it happened and I love her more every day, she can bring sunshine on the gloomiest of days and the happiness she brings me is unbelievable.

Met this beautiful quirky girl in art class in 10th grade. Fell so madly in love with her. Being a troubled teen I learned early on what love was but didn’t know what to do with it. She moved away on me and being 16 it seemed like the end of the world. I’m almost 30 still think about it. 13 years later we have an absolutely beautiful baby girl and I couldn’t be happier with our life together. I love my girls

This song is one of those songs that's very simple on the surface but it always hits hard. A story almost all of us can relate to in some way is told here, being young and "in love", and the sense of loss that almost always follows it. I can still remember almost as if it were yesterday my first girlfriend and all the things we did even though it was almost 20 years ago.

First my mother in law 8 months ago got a message from God and one week ago my father in law got the same message. They are in better hands in better place. Country music is my only ways to bring them back to me. Thank you Mavis and Jim. I love you both forever for teaching me another way to enjoy life and love! 😢💖✨*

Sweet song. No matter what has happened in my life, and I'm 73, I'll carry that first time until I draw my last breath. The innocence, the anticipation, the warm skin, the caressing, the wonder, the togetherness, the physical thrill, the oneness., the Romance, the richness of it all. Made me glad that I was alive. That is the most amazing story, not just the story but the way you write it by how you say it. I'm in tears because that kind of love doesnt happen but by chance, fait, or destiny, if you will. We all want that so much that's what we all are seeking or hoping for right!?!!! I pray that everyone might, or could experience that in this world, or lifetime but then it wouldn't be considered such a beautiful thing if we all had that kind of love, then I think it would just be Heaven then, at that magical moment, right up into eternity.❤❤❤ Much love to you and yours, God bless❤

This song reminds me so much of my ex-wife, she would play it constantly on all of our road trips. I made some mistakes and lost her. It's been 7 years and I still can't stop thinking about her. Every year on our anniversary I drive out to where we got married and listen to this song until I have no tears left to cry.

Sorry it's taken me a half a year to come across your message. Listen, it's fun becoming intimate with someone and falling in love. Humans were designed for one or multiple of these experiences in a life time. Quit blaming yourself for your mistakes mate, maybe you did make them. But they aren't who you are. And when your parents raised you as a baby and put love into you and watched you grow they didn't intend for you to hit a road block in your life and lose love and joy forever. Take some new road trips. Put yourself out there. You don't have to forget about your first marriage but mate, you gotta open your eyes and realize there's still lots out there for you to try to learn to know, become intimate and love again. Life SHOULD be about love. Regardless of any errors or mistakes you made, start fresh, don't look back, don't waste life. Good luck buddy, don't beat yourself up.

Strawberry wine, reminds me of my mother watching her grow into a beautiful woman throughout my 21 years of life. She just turned 18 when I was born, my pops wasn't around til I turned 18, but it reminds me of their love and why they hit it off, he's American were Canadian. Those memories, she'd clean up for me and my brothers, for many nights we spent until i was 16, she'd play this song often, hold me tight and sing, and reminisce me as a toddler, at age 9. Much love for my mother, I get music from her. By the way I'm her eldest child and her only daughter so it's very special to me(:

This came out when I was a teenager. Oh, wow. The memories! This was MY song when I was 17. That's when I met my first love. But then after sharing the summer together he had to leave for bootcamp :( He became a Marine and faded from my life, but not from my heart. Fate is a funny thing. An amazing thing actually :) 7 years later I ran across him on Facebook, found out he had just finished his 6 years with the Marines and was living back in the area. So I invited him over for the 4th of July, and he hasn't left my side since. The rest is history. It's been 9 years now since that 4th of July when he came back into my life. And now 5 years since the 4th of July when we said "I do" and I became his wife :) I remember when I would hear this song during those 7 years we were apart, and my thoughts ALWAYS went to him. The one who got away. Listening to it now I can't believe how things have ended up. I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Still love the song and the meaning behind it, but it doesn't make me sad anymore :) Couldn't be more grateful for the soulmate God made just for me.
