Whitney is a legend. My older sister and her friends made me listen to her and she was always on MTV and I had the biggest crush. Couldn’t admit I actually like her music for years later. So sad it was all cut short. She’s brilliant.

One of Whitney's greatest lives performances was "One Moment In Time" at the 1989 Grammy's. Another great live performance was "Greatest Love of All" in London in 1988.

Another great review to an amazing song and artist. In my opinion (and probably millions of others) she is the GOAT of female vocalists. Also, I agree with you that she is a gorgeous lady! To answer your question, yes she is black. I have no idea if her hair is really hers or not but I assume it is. Thanks for the reaction!!

Great reaction, love Whitney! And yes Whitney was considered black but as most african americans (not directly from the motherland) she was mixed with some Italian, dutch and supposedly some native american. Whitney is so awsome live btw, please react to her singing 'Greatest Love Of All' in 1988 at Wembley for the Nelson Mandela Concert. She had her prime in the 80's and early 90's and her early performances was LEGENDARY!

I absolutely loved your reactions!!! One of the best reaction vids I’ve seen yet. They are genuine and makes me realize and remember exactly how I felt about Whitney and this video when it came out back in 1985. I was 9. And no, that is not her real hair. Whitney was well noted for wearing these big hairstyles and wigs. All her videos are filled with fun and make you just feel good, not to mention her special gift-- that unbelievable VOICE! No one can compare. Please if u haven’t already, listen to her songs, check the videos and her live performances. Black musicians owe so much to her. Without Whitney there would be no Beyoncé, Mariah, Sza, Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill. She paved the way for every black female in music since she debuted. She is the most awarded female celebrity of all time. She is America’s princess. She gave so much of herself unselfishly. Yes, she fell on hard times toward the end, but she’s only human and gave so much more of herself than we deserved. Again thanks for the fantastic reaction guys! A beautiful model, unmatched vocalist, fine actress, devoted mother and a professed Christian. Love MY fantasy wife… so watch it young buck…😂.

Both of her parents are Black making her Black. Her mom Cissy Houston sang back up for Elvis in the late 60's and her cousin is the singer Dionne Warwick. She was wearing a wig because her hair was short and they wanted her to go through different looks in the video.

1) Love your reactions, but to be honest you "pause" way too much bro. 2 or 3 pauses is fine, anything more than that is overkill and ruins the song. 2) No, that's not her real hair lol, it's a wig. In the 80's wigs were very popular for pop singers (of all races) because they wanted to have the biggest hair, the most brightly colored hair, and a style that changed all the time. Doing that in real life would damage your hair. 3) She is black, however this song was early in her career and she was being marketed to a largely white audience. She's one of the first black female artists (along with Donna Summer, Tina Turner, and Janet Jackson) to be played on MTV in heavy rotation. Putting her in a blonde wig with colorful make-up that matched other white artists like Madonna and Cyndi Lauper made sense back then. 4) Some other up-temp Whitney songs you might like: "I'm Your Baby Tonight", "I'm Every Woman", "How Will I Know", and "So Emotional".
