As you were about to reinstall the switch on the Trend Router at 38:49 - I thought 'There's no way Dean going to let that shoddy Cable wiring stand!' - and then cut to nice new yellow ferrules installed. Always nice to see someone have pride in their work.

Hi dean cheers for the content. I used your video on the milwaukee stapler to re gas my 18g pinner. Im a joiner not a repair man and attempted this repair late at night as i was hoping to use it on site the next day, upon opening the thing i decided i had neither the time or patience to mess around trying to send the pin forward so i released the little remaining gas and attached a cheep chinese ebay hand pump. The first press on the pump sent the pin home on its own. watch them pumps the first measurement on the gauge is a 1000psi, i put in five pumps the gauge registered nothing and i felt no resistance so i thought I'd unscrew and give the value a press to see, made a hiss so i reassembled and it now works, however the depth control now dose nothing every shot goes deep.(probably abit much pressure)I dont know if this is bad practice or a time saver for you but it worked for me. Thanks for the videos id have a paper weight otherwise

Fun fact: when Makita first introduced the DJV182 it didn't have the option to change between soft start and normal mode and customers weren't too happy about that and reverted back to the brushed DJV180 that doesn't have the soft start. After a couple of years they changed the controler in the DJV182 so it was possible to switch between modes. Also might that Trend router switch be interchangeable with one of the older Dewalt or even Metabo routers ? I've never seen one here, but it looked pretty similar from what I could tell from this video. Thanks again for the repairathon!

That die grinder is pretty rad. I like the quick release for the flap wheel, has to be better than keeping a 13mm and 19mm spanner in your pocket for when you’re changing grits often or you accidentally drop the spanners on what you’re working on lol. Or you forget to take the spanners in to the vessel… Why don’t they do that now?

Nitrogen molecules are larger than oxygen molecules, which helps maintain pressure more consistently over time because Nitrogen leaks slower out of tires and tools.

I'm surprised the customer handed in that Bosch die grinder as I'm fairly sure all the attachments are discontinued these days. I can't find any for sale at least nor any reference to them on Bosch's dealer platform. I've got a NOS machine sitting in the basement at work that I should get around to chucking on eBay or something.

Hello good sir! I was wondering if you had any suggestion for a cordless rotary hammer drill. I'm in the cable industry and they don't want to pay for locates but still expect us to pound rods. I'd be willing to drop some dollars if you know of something worth its price tag. I also don't expect to use it more then for driving rods. Thank you for posting your work. I find it educational and entertaining.

My Dear Brother Dean, after watching many of your videos I noticed that some of the armatures have replaceable gears and I'm wondering why they don't do it more other than they just want to make more money off of us, but they would get more business if they could and repair shops would love them more which would mean more money for them. The practice of designing products to become obsolete or break quickly is known as planned obsolescence, but there were other terms used before it was given its current name: Dynamic obsolescence This term was used by Alfred P. Sloan Jr., a General Motors executive, to describe his strategy of making annual model-year design changes to convince car owners to buy new cars. Progressive obsolescence This term was used by Christine Frederick in her 1929 book Selling Mrs. Consumer to describe a plan to encourage consumption by appealing to people's love of changing fashions. Creative waste This term was used to describe the idea that throwing things away and buying new ones could fuel a strong economy. The phrase "planned obsolescence" was first popularized by American industrial designer Brooks Stevens in 1954.

hello I have a very serious question I was searching everywhere and it is about the gsh 11 E hammer Many claim that the current GSH 11 E model is manufactured in China, which is why it is much inferior to the German version. They may be the same but people claim that it loses power over time, the mechanisms are inferior and they even say that it is better and cheaper to buy the exact copy/replica offered by other brands that copy the model gsh 11 e If you know something about it, I would like you not to ignore this message and give your opinion.
