Looks really great, man. I'm a full-time artist with years of experience in painting, and I would even be a little scared to do this, haha. But it came out beautifully. And I think you're right; the paint only being on the raised bits will likely not cause any flaking with articulation. The already excellent figure looks much improved.

Oooh sooo so *SO* much better! I wish it was that color otherwise i'd spend up to 500 dollars just to have it, I hate how dark the grey was that it was practically all black. i loved this costume BECAUSE it goes to that classic comic accurate look instead of the all black we've been getting since 1989. hot toys really dropped the ball. if i could customize it even further, i'd probably put the justice league cowl (the regular suit not the goggled one) on since i dig the shape of the nose and head better

Cracking job Dean! There's no need to apologise, you told us precisely what you did and showed us the paint you used. Imo this looks better than the new Hot Toys 2.0 of this figure. I prefer the thicker cowl, abs and height (the new one didn't need to be taller, this one is already a very tall figure) on this, and with the addition of the Unreal cape, beef tm mod, and now your paint apps, it looks almost perfect to me.

Hello bro! Great repaint! Just a question, if the suit started flaking so bad, shall I peel off all the pattern then do the repaint? Or don't peel off the flaking parts of the suit to maintain the pattern?

Looks fantastic been wanting to do this with mine for ages. Have you thought about putting a clear matte finish sealant over-the-top to preserve the paint? And does the suits stick to itself more now that it's been painted?

Have you applied a matte finisher or just a normal gloss finisher to seal the paint?

Yes it is that dark to start out with I'm looking at mine right now and it's so dark that the bat almost doesn't show up against the suit in normal lighting
