Computer metal. It's crazy to see the direction metal has gone with a lot of guitarists sitting at home on their computers writing riffs and songs. I fucking dig it. I'm an old school player that didn't have any of this amazing technology when I was first learning, I had to pause and rewind tapes and CD's. Music has grown so much, specially metal and I'm glad I can be here and still learn new methods every day.

I get harmonics like playing with no pick, I hit the string with my thumb while having my pointer finger arched at the string in a way that allows my to brush the string with my pointer immediatly after thumbing the string. I realized playing with no pick allows a more natural expression come from your hands. I played bass for years before guitar so it was very natural for me but I feel everyone should play just useing there hands when they ppractice, it gives you a powerful second look at everything you write. Hope I could help!
