W126 and W140 were always my favourites. I love the W124 and W116 too. The US-spec lights and bumpers look soooo bad though.

Wrong... With 420 you get the V8 without the extra headache of the 560...

560 had more power, but the valve seat/stem service that I paid on mine doesn't affect the 420. The 420 was the workhorse for MB through the 90s, moving on over to the W140.
