Beautiful. Off down the Chippy... Haddock and chips twice. Plates under the grill. Salt and vinegar, bread and butter, mushy peas and a mug of tea. What a great way to start 2021. :-)

There are many closed down airforce training bases from world war II near my home in Alberta that had trained loads of British and Canadian pilots in those Chipmunks, followed by the Harvard....nice to see an RC version with Canadian markings...Bravo I say !!!

Beautiful video with my English friends! This plane and the Laser 155 are a super combination. The glow engines are still my favourite engines and the Laser's are top made in England. They can easily beat any engine produced in the far east with ease. And the sound is superior and quirky.

Love the Chipmunk and love yellow aeroplanes,these Seagull products are well engineered and this is the first time I have seen this model in action,very effective flaps and it sits nicely in the air too,as usual a fine demonstration of flying by Deano with the combination of a good man on the camera,well and good to see you enjoying some flying as well.

I love this plane and after watching Deano fly it superbly I'm really wanting to get one as it looks so stable and flys very smooth and I love the colour scheme. Great video, enjoyed watching it very much. PS. Fantastic landing with full flaps. I like it's slow flight capability.

Good choice aiden, if you can afford a four stroke then go for it as well m8
@easystar1233 жыл бұрын
@@tbobborap1 Yes it will be a fourstroke going in it. I'm looking at a Saito 125. The bright yellow colour scheme shows up well . I fly a Spacewalker with a similar scheme only with some red added. The Chipmunk lands really nice. Thank you.

Im hoping to maiden mine next week. Got an RCGF 20cc Petrol/Gas in it. Every time i have tried to maiden it something has gone wrong. This video gives me a bit of hope that once i sort most of the problems it will fly nice. I had a Black Horse chipmunk a few years ago untill I put it in

I notice tail gear is not stock but upgraded, Am I wrong? looks much nicer now. How have you done it? I am thinking about building this model to use an OS GF30II gas engine I´ve but from scratch. I think cowling is perfect for hiding this kind of four strokes whose cilinder heads are quite tall. Congrats for your model and flying

Great plane, and nice demo. I miss my S720 which is my main acro trainer. Not as powerful as this one, but I had great fun with it till the elevator servo locked up mid flight. Ordered a new one, but it's been massively delayed...

Superb combination of plane, pilot and engine. Just a quick question, how did you over come the issue of the level of the fuel tank in relation to the low carb. height on an inverted laser engine, which can cause fuel syphoning problems. Regards Rick Morris from Bulgaria.
@tbobborap13 жыл бұрын
thanks rick, not a problem with the tank at all, in fact ive been flying glow motors since 1983 and ive never had an issue with the tank height on any of my models !

@@tbobborap1 I`m just finishing a kit now. Just the cowl to fit and its done. I have an ASP120FS in mine. I have found carb flooding a slight issue on other models so elected to lower the tank floor area. Dropped by about an inch. Yes, it was a bit of work but should help aliviate any fuel syphon issues. Test flights will prove one way or another. A great video, guys. Deano does indeed fly very nicely. Thanks for posting the footage. This vid was the one that convinced me that buying a kit would be a sound one. I have other Seagull models in my fleet....Steen Skybolt, big rather tail heavy Stearman, Flybaby monoplane, Zlin Z50, the fabulous Gypsy Moth, a discontinued Sky Hawk, the Jungmeister, a Space Walker11 and an MXS-R. Indeed great value kits although forum research is often needed to obtan a sensible C of G location! The makers manual locations can often be miles out!

Hi, Aidan! It looks sweet to me. Give it some flaps, pull on plenty of up elevator and it just stooges about. No nasty tip-stalling, so it seems to fly much like the full sized Chippy - an excellent intermediate trainer. :-)

DEANO & LEE RECOMMEND USING THE 155 VERSION OF THE LASER (IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE A LASER) OVER THE 100 AS THE EXTRA POWER IS GREAT FOR VERTICAL MANEUVERS ETC, THE MODEL CAN HANDLE THE EXTRA POWER - OF COURSE YOU CAN PUT A SMALLER MOTOR IN HER AND FLY HER SCALE BUT AFTER 30 SECONDS OF SCALE FLYING YOULL PROB BE BORED SHITLESS AND WISH YOU UPGRADED HER ! AFTER ALL YOU DO HAVE A THROTTLE STICK TO STILL FLY HER SCALE PEEPS !
