Hey mate, seems a few guys are getting the smaller fish on topwater pretty well with a few big ones off the top but not as many as in the past. I am running Seadek mate, installed by the great team at Boat Flooring Australia in Brisbane

I don't think Shimano had this in mind when they designed the EX72H lol! Are you missing a stripper guide on that rod?
@DeanSilvester10 ай бұрын
haha perhaps not! No that rod first guide is just a long way up, like you said perhaps not meant for that purpose or to bend that much

The one metre box you didnt tick, Glad your still smilin cos the footage was sick. With the fog rollin in and the sun risin, The rod was picked and the RT sent flyin. The line went tick as the cod hit hard,was it that metery finally dealing the right card. 😂😂😂

Hello! Mate! Outstanding photography. The reflect of the sky with a drone. Was absolutely beautiful. Boldly go where other fishermen. Won't ! go! I go when it's the hottest or the coldest. To prove to myself that fish can be caught anytime any where. No matter the season. Or the weather. I just watch a beautiful sunset. The weather is 80 degrees and it wonderful. Plenty of rain and wind. Plus sunny at times. The crops are standing tall. Corn and beans around here. Just lush for the harvest coming soon. The bass are trying to evade me but! I am using my special bag of tricks. Sometimes slow fishing or topwater fast. I drive them nuts with continued casting over and over till that just have to go get my baits. Doubled Buzz baits or Whopper Ploppers. Jigs or the Hybird Hunter Jr. Bouncing off cover. Even the River to Sea 120 glide baits are producing now. The toughest time for fishing. Make them bite I say! Another great video Dean. I amazed at the new content you provide us with. Outstanding video! Shawn from the States.

Sounds like it would look amazing over there right now mate. Yep sunrise and sunset are best spent on the water and soaked in, pardon the pun. Glad you are still ticking that box every trip mate and getting it done
@downunderfulla6001 Жыл бұрын
Another awesome video mate. That morning fog on the water is spectacular. I’d still be back at the Boatramp frozen mid walk😂 That first one was THE ONE 🙌🏽 but they all were quality. Was there any bycatch. The PE ratings always have me confused (yes I’m easily confused) a lot of channels talk PE between lines and rods. It’s only rod integrity if I understand. I’m loving the new setup of the tinny more and more👌🍺🍺
@DeanSilvester Жыл бұрын
Cheers legend, can't catch them at the ramp mate. Not much by catch when you are running big baits. Although i have had giant yellowbelly in windamere eat a big swimbait meant for a cod. PE is the line diameter. Because so many libes vary in how they measure breaking strain i much prefer to talk PE because the line diameter is what i am chasing. So even if in the future they somehow make PE 3 to be 80lb i will still ruun it because i like that diameter of line for cod and barra

Hey mate, awesome footage loving the content 👍 heading there on Thursday in search of my first metery, any tips for a first timer to copeton? Little bit blown away after looking at maps of this place, she’s massive compared to my local dams, any pointers as to where to start looking?
@DeanSilvester Жыл бұрын
Sorry mate, i missed this, i typically head up the river direction and just look for bait in any of the bays. Main reason i go towards that end is i don't have to cross the main basin in any wind in my little boat
