Actually, although I love your colours, and your scent idea. I am going to add a plum purple and pour the way you do. I will add Geranium essential oil and call it "Geraniums" and sell it on first day of summer at the Market. Thank you for your great ideas and teaching. hi dean, I am a new soaper. I really enjoy your videos. I have a question. I noticed your soap stays in liquid form for a long while. When I melt my soap it seems to solidify before I'm done pouring into my 6 cavity silicon mold. What are your tips for keeping the soap from going solid so quickly. Could it be the brand of soap I'm using or what could it be because I take it off the stove wait seconds then begin to pour and it's already solidifying. Thanks Dean

I use Aluminium pouring pots, so they keep the base pretty warm for longer period of time. But even I need to remelt the base sometimes because I leave it too long to pour. I have found there is about a 1 minute window between good pouring temp to when it's too late.

These colors are beautiful! I wonder if it was mixing the mica with the alcohol that kept them from mixing in the mold? Or was it the temp that you poured

Love the color payoff ! I would have switch the green for a flashy orange to fit more the name of the soap. With these 3 colors, it looks more like a hippie tidie to me haha I would have called it ''Woodstock'' :)

oh you do the stove top/crock pot/double boiler trick to melt your melt and pours. I hadn't tried it yet. do you find it easier than using the microwave to melt it down?

For melt and pour I use my aluminium pouring pots (you can get them at most candle supply companies) and they work fine. Just dont use them for Cold Process soap making.

what percent of alcohol do you use? also, how come you spray in between each layer of color?

I think the percentage is about 70% to 90% Rubbing Alcohol. I spray so the layers bond togethers. RA is like a glue for the soap base.
