Only ever heard the Kossoy Sisters sing Bowling Green. Y'all did it proper right. Enjoyed hearing that.

J’aime beaucoup. Merci. Et j’apprécie le « clawhammer banjo » qui donne un son plus doux.

Beautiful harmony -- question on the Billy in the Lowground -- a very different melody than I know for a tune of the same name-- where else might I find it?
@PenkaJaneAC Жыл бұрын
I learned it from Pharis and Jason Romero! It’s the first track on their album Back Up and Push.

ould you point me in the direction for sheetmusic for your version of Billy in the ...? Y'all probably play everything by ear. My violin duet partner and I are glad we found y'all on youtube.

I am a violin maker. I’d love to know who made your violin. It sounds great. And I love your playing and harmonies

Thanks Peter! Penka Jane's violin was made by A.C. Gengler in the 1950's. The shop tag lists Ketchikan, Alaska but also has Seattle, WA hand written. There's apparently a connection to a German luthier as well, the violin was perhaps made by Gengler and sent to a German luthier for additional work (there's some additional handwriting in pencil on the inside regarding that although it's hard to read)

Thanks! It's a Weyman banjo, from sometime in the 1930's I think
