Love the slug stargazey pie.Maybe their ancestors came from Cornwall way back where stargazey pie with fish comes from. What a brilliant scene it's turned out to be and what patience you have sticking on all those bristles!Best wishes from Yorkshire dales England.

I wonder if anyone has research slug dna. Given that they were taken all over the world by English settlers it could be an interesting study. I don't know if we have native ones here. I didn't want to stick bristles on but the hedgehogs insisted. Well, nothing else I tried looked as good so it had to be so.

Hello Jill, the hoglets are so cute, using a paint brush for bristles was a brilliant idea, I love the slug-gazey pie, and the sauce, it looks like they're going to have a marvellous Christmas feast. They still make Stargazy pie in Cornwall, Mousehole (pronounced mowzle) where it comes from is a lovely fishing port village, they do a fantastic Christmas lights display every year. Have a lovely week ahead. Best Wishes from Yorkshire England 🇬🇧 😊

Thank you Diane. It must have been in Cornwall that I first encountered Stargazey pie. Funny how it came back into Hedgies life.

Oh how cute is that, little hedgehogs! Quite a lot of work but it has such detail, very meticulously done. Stargazing Slug Pie, very fitting for a Hedgie family. Well done Jill, you've created a masterpiece. :)

Thanks so much! 😊A bit of fun to cheer us up prior to Christmas. Every year I work on making Christmas less stressful than the last one. This year I will be so laid back I will probably sleep through it!

You have such patience but I bet your imagination was firing on all cylinders, lol. The whole scene, hedgehog family and table scapes are fabulous. Once you start the 'story', it has a mind of it's own. How fun! TFS, Jill. Great job.

The story always develops it's own way. I just go with the flow.

Thanks so much 😊The problem, Coby, with such a long video is that it takes forwever to download in our town. We have a very stressed internet service. And no fibre! So it ended up being a two day post instead. And I will keep the videos shorter.

Your Stargazey slug pie with green sauce is hilarious! Perfectly appropriate for the little hedgehog family. Surely it will help them have a very Happy Christmas! Thanks so much for sharing, Jill. Take care, Sally in Northern California 😁. I live under the redwoods and our slugs are yellow with black spots (banana slugs).

So so cute! At first I thought I should just ask for some tea if I came by, but decided that I should at least try the slug pie😀 At bit far away though, as I live i Sweden. Funny mishearings can happen when English is not ones first language; here I had to think a bit extra on the ear dried paste..😂

Love the ear dried paste. Quite brings queer things to mind. Thank you for your lovely feedback.
