The fireplace looks fabulous - you drew the tiles?! Wow! They’re so wonderful! Tomorrow morning, we are off to “the city” - about 2 hours away tomorrow fir my husband’s medical follow up. On our way back home, we will stop at a thrift store that is 100% devoted to art supplies and potential art creations! Just about anything one can use in any artistic pursuit likely there! Creativity is definitely facilitated with thousands of items - from papers to buttons to yarn, stamps, spools, markers, felt, molds, paints, fabric, zippers, to hundreds of recycled goodies - yoghurt container lids, flattened cardboard boxes, old photos, magazines, cigar boxes, books, doilies, game pieces, cards, envelopes, wires, etc, etc etc!!! It’s an amazing place to spend time (and money)! Most things are reasonably priced, which is nice too. It’s one of my favorite places to go! Can’t wait! I always leave with several things for mini-making! Hope your party was fun and everyone gets/stays well at your home! Thanks much! 💙 Kathleen

Egg sandwiches! My word, I would have never guessed. I thought it was vanilla ice cream balls. lol Never heard of bird's eye birch but now I'm a big fan. I would like something life sized done in it for myself. Thanks for sharing smiles!

The browns did the trick! I like to use burnt umber as well as the siennas-depending of course on what final effect I'm going for.

Hello Jill, hope you all recover quickly, it's no fun being ill. The fireplace looks fantastic, and the portrait of QEI looks wonderful. Thomas's house is starting to look very opulent, his clients will be suitably impressed with the grandeur. Hope you had a great time at your dinner with the miniaturists. What are those things at the end? That office fireplace looks amazing! You are so good at taking tiny bits of random flotsam and jetsam and making them look cohesive and fabulous! Have a good time at your party🎉

Would you believe egg sandwiches?? I have worked out a clever way of cutting them out. Lots of bread wasted though, so my chickens are happy :) We have 'Bring a Plate' tradition in NZ for events. That was my 'plate'
