I am-oh god..a wreck and this movie makes it all better. I really needed to see this today! I love this musical so much and I’m so happy the trailer is finally out!!!! The only thing I hate is that the trailer shows so much of the plot that people who haven’t seen the musical will already know a lot about it, and also it didn’t show any of the wonderful humor that’s in this. But this is my absolute favorite musical of all time and I know my standards are high so I have to keep that in check. I know it’s not unheard of for older actors to portray teens, but they’re justifying Platt’s casting by saying he IS Evan and is the only actor they could cast. And while it’s true Ben was the original Evan, and was spectacular in the role, it’s a little disrespectful to the other actors who’ve portrayed Evan and are more age appropriate, to imply that Platt is the only one who could pull the role off.
