I had some blasting done for a construction project and even though I knew it was coming I flinched and ducked when the dynamite went boom. Really gave me a new perspective on "cool guys not looking at explosions." You feel the explosion in your head and in your chest before your brain registers the sound, like how you drop a hot cast iron pan before you realized it's hot.

This is a remake of the 1981 film "The Amateur" with John Savage and Christopher Plummer. However, with the advent of computer technology, surveillance equipment and other items that could never have been imagined back in 1981, they really upped the action and depth as to how the hero can avenge his wife's death. The first movie was okay. This one looks a lot better! I'm really looking forward to this one.

Fun fact, his character gets remarried after this film and has a daughter. A few years later 2 criminals do a home invasion, stab him and kill his new wife and daughter. An ADA cuts a deal with the 2 lowlifes which sends him over the edge and he starts by killing the criminals, the judge, the DA staff, etc, right up until his secret prison tunnel is discovered.

@@MovieTrailerDatabase IIRC, he's an analyst and his wife IS killed. He goes to his bosses saying I want these guys. The think he's a joke but they train him anyway, laughing the whole time. In the end, I think they wind up abandoning him. Never actually saw it, just remember what was in reviews and whatnot.
