I also think it's important to note that this is the act one closer of the show. When I first heard it I assumed it was the finale and thought it was a nice sentiment to end on, but a little corny. Then you hear it in the full context of the show and realize that Evan barely believes what he's singing here and so much of this community he worked to build comes crashing down around him and it becomes much more emotional. I love how you made Jared look much more like a real friend towards Evan. In my opinion, even though he was often sarcastic and kept some distance, he really wanted to be friends with him, but because Evan was afraid to open up to anybody, Jared didn't recognise his needs. Unfortunately, it's confirmed in-show that Heathers takes place in Sherwood, Ohio. However, in For Forever Evan mentions the ice cream store A La Mode, which only has stores in New York and New Jersey. BMC takes place in New Jersey, so it's entirely possible that BMC and DEH both take place in the same school. Not only that, the BMC characters (minus the adults) are all juniors, while the DEH characters (again, minus the adults) are all seniors, so theoretically, they could have even happened during the same year, since senior drama is unlikely to become junior drama and vice-versa unless people from both grades are involved, and both Jeremy and Evan especially would be too wrapped up in their own drama to care about the drama of some random kids in the grade above/below them.

I never cry at videos. I haven’t cried for about 4 years at films, although when I was younger I used to blubber if I heard a child cry in the background. I see people write in comment sections at fairly unemotional videos writing ‘I’m in tears’ and ‘I can’t stop crying’ and I’m usually very skeptical about it, thinking ‘Really? This made you cry?’ However this video, congrats (I think?) to you, you made me cry. I have no idea why, of all places, I've decided to vent on a KZbin video of some DEH animatic, but here I am. No one will probably see this anyway, but it still helps. Anyway, a little back story to my life. I'm just some average girl, the chubby one that sits in the corner and doesn't usually talk much, but can be chatty at times. I suppose some people like me, and I *do* have friends (just one really close one, but yeah). Still I struggle a lot with weight and self esteem, and I do have depression. Regardless, my family is loving, but we do have our problems. I have issues with my agression, and sometimes (a lot of times, actually) I yell at my mom. My mom is currently struggling with self esteem and constantly feels suicidal thoughts, and I know I only make life harder for her. We used to be so close, *I* used to be such a nice kid who'd listen to her problems. But now I'm always depending on her, yelling at her, and just thinking everything will be okay. But it isn't. My actions are *killing* her, literally. Physically, and mentally. So I'm not the victim, but the villain. And yet I still cry myself to sleep every other night feeling sorry for myself when I have no right to be upset. *I'm the villain* ... Right? *I'm* the one who's hurting this poor woman who's just the sweetest mom in the world. So why am I crying? Why do I feel as if I deserve love? Wow, okay, that's a lot. Okay I know this is late like as hell but what you’re going through.. You can still fix this (or at least I hope so idk, it’s been 10 months). Everyone has their own problems and as your mother I’m sure she can understand this. I think all a parent wants is their kid to be happy, and even if you see yourself as a villain I doubt she does. Because you two are both struggling through something very difficult. If you are aware that you treat her poorly then I really hope that you can will yourself to be kinder to her. It doesn’t need to be an overnight change, but just small things can let her know that she’s appreciated. Cooking her breakfast, doing extra chores or even just talking to her. And it’s hard to say sorry, especially when you’re hurting too, but just owning up to the fact helps, it really does. I hope you’ve been doing better, and if not then that’s okay. Take you’re time. But try to show your mom you know and you’re trying to get better.

Life isn’t black and white, there is no hero’s and villains. Both you and your mom are victims. No one is the villain here. Talk to your school counseled, I’m sure they could help.

It's been a year, I hope you're doing better! I totally understand wanting to vent. One thing that's important for you to understand is it's not *just* your fault. (You've probably heard this a lot of times,,, sorry I'm really bad at talking to people.) You aren't the villain, she's not the villain. You're both struggling in your own way. Despite what you think, you're probably brightening her life a whole lot more then you may know. You do deserve love. Every person argues. I argue with my mom a lot as well. You shouldn't feel like you don't deserve love. I know people with depression struggle with feeling deserving of love (I have depression, and I don't really practice what I'm preaching here) but you do deserve love. Even if you're mom feels hurt by you sometimes you shouldn't let it cut you down. You're crying because you feel guilty, and not deserving of love, but in reality, you really don't need to cry. Your mom loves you more than you could ever know, even if you do feel distant. *It's ok to cry.* You feel like you deserve love because you do!!! You are loved!!! Even when you don't feel like it, you are loved!!! You have a right to feel upset. If anyone was in this position you're in, they'd feel upset. Anyone who's in a position that's not ideal is upset, and that's ok. Don't let your mistakes control your life! Seek counseling if you want to/need to. And remember, you are loved. You will be found.

Thank you so much for this. I've been waiting for someone to make an animatic of this song. You really captured the hope the song wants to convey. I love it so much. It's so fluid, so smooth, and nice. I got so many chills when I saw Connor. I love how you depicted Jared and Alana. They are so proud and happy with what they have done with Evan. (And then everything goes to shi- Nope. Nope, let's just forget the 2nd act, okay? ) I also love how you captured Evan. He's just dumbfounded by the effect of his speech. :) So, yeah, thank you for doing this. :)

I just thought that was cool! :3 I also loved seeing other characters from the other plays. It makes me wonder on the laptop stickers because I'm trying to see if they are a nudge to something? Idk.
