@@Justin_Arut yes. It's actually pretty basic and universal. Trust people's actions. Not sure why it's triggering for some people or what the pushback is. The point is that when you're starting a new relationship you don't know if someone is actually telling the truth, so the best thing you can do is look at their actions.

So glad I found a wonderful, loving, loyal Filipina to spend the past 51 years with. Did I mention she's beautiful, too? That's because I didn't go out looking for a Filipina. I was looking for a wonderful, loving, loyal woman to spend my life with. The fact that she was Filipina was totally incidental. Focus on the major things, and the minor things will take care of themselves. Focus on marrying a Filipina, and you can easily overlook and disregard all kinds of red flags.

The bottom line here is simple. You will never get honesty out of a Filipina. You'd have a better chance of getting honesty out of a politician. Dishonesty and little white lies are such a huge part of their culture and goes all the way back to its Spanish Catholic heritage. Just like you can't get an American to give up their God-given rights, you can't get a Filipina/Filipino to be honest with you. I've been married to two of them and I lived there for two years long ago. This is an incredibly large hurdle to overcome in a relationship. The inability to be honest, the prideful need to save face, and the aversion to confrontation makes it almost impossible to work through problems with them. Because of those things, if a Filipina has a problem in the relationship, they will most likely never say anything about it. You will only hear about it years later when the relationship is falling apart. I went to marriage counseling with my last wife and things were brought up by her that I had never heard in 13 years of marriage. Not a single complaint or discussion. How is it fair to never discuss or address a problem in the relationship, then turn around and blame the man for these problems. You can't fix what you don't know is broken.

Interesting, my experience with people from a little island to the north that they keep their word literally. In contrast to the west where it is common for people to just say things, but not mean them. However there is a bit of mind-reading involved because some things are expected but are unsaid. In situations to save face, generally blunt lying is rare but one can learn to be sensitive to their discomfort in answering and thus it is best to discontinue pushing for an answer.

There's really no need to lie, if you have good ways to just avoid answering the question. If someone asks you how old you are - why do you need to answer? If someone asks if you are single - there are many ways you can answer without saying "yes". The only question I would definitely answer honestly is "do you have any STD's?".

Don't be scared. Filipinas are the most feminine women I have found in the world so far, having traveled in 32 countries, most of them by myself. They are sweet, kind, charming, delicate, sensitive, fun, and loyal, for the most part. I go often and am looking for the right Filipina for a long term relationship. Sadly she is right; lack of complete honesty is an issue, and the saving face thing is also an issue, and not a small one. These are problems, and I thought initially they would prevent me from wanting a Filipina. But I went anyway, and I am glad I did and am still going. Every country, every culture, is going to have something you don't like. I will take these aspects of Filipinas over the problems with western women. You already know what those problems are, or you would not be watching her videos. Go East, young man. You will be glad you did.

"Never trust a Filipina's words." So, I guess that means that I shouldn't trust your words. Okay. But, I'm rather amazed at how I've seemed wonder struck, about Filipinas, these last few days. I remember that my interest for a Filipina, in the past, was when I was in New York, and not in a personal way. Your leader, Corazon Aquino, had come to New York, on an official visit. I worked, as a messenger, from an office only two blocks away from City Hall. So, on one of my deliveries or pickups, I took the time to stop a few steps away from City Hall, to see and listen to Corazon Aquino, as if she had been a personal flame to me, without anyone suspecting any of that. It was a nice , at a distance, encounter. And, today, I almost have a sense of "Hey, you seem to be from my family!", and I almost feel as if I were Christopher Colombus discovering America. I'm in and from Haiti, in the West Indies. "Never trust a Filipina's words." Your words. Still, I find myself under your charm. Don't tell me "Never trust a Filipina's charm!". I don't understand English.
