Renting a Girlfriend in the Philippines: understanding the game

Why are all these beautiful Filipinas doing this kind of work? I explain everything in this video, the 2nd in a 7-part series I'm making about "Renting a Girlfriend in the Philippines." To really understand what's going on here, you need to do two things. Shift your perspective to understand what her life is really like and learn about how the game works - what questions to ask and how to sell the fantasy.

That is very unfortunate for your culture. To make "The game" the go to, rather than educate your women about birth control and the need for education is just wild. Especially after seeing generations of continued social decline. "Parents turn a blind eye" to daughters' new secret job that pays way more than it should is also wild. I understand the poverty issues, and that education is expensive after k-12, but based on this very well-articulated report on "how the game works," they don't sound ignorant to the core problem... Just lazy from parents on down to socially change the norm. In Thailand, its often ignorance that holds there people back. In the poorest areas, generation after generation are lucky to have completed 6th grade, but their young ladies too are sent into the big city to hustle for foreigner dollars through the sex trade. At least they have ignorance to blame. The PhP know what they are doing and don't intend to change it. Been going on for decades and probably started with soldiers visiting their lands during war time. Easy buck. My word choses here are not meant to offend, but I am not one to dance around a subject to protect people from how bad the truth is. (The word ignorant is not a negative word. It simply means lacking in knowledge. The word lazy, is a tough behavior. Likely starting at the parental level. I am not saying the PhP people are by nature lazy but rather aren't seeing the correlation between education & birth control and daughters doomed futures. She basically said that a good percentage of parents turn a blind eye. That is all about the money from the top down. In Thailand families specifically have children, hoping for daughters, just so they can put them out in the big cities, for big money to send home. I teach English & business for free in Thailand to Thais. I hope to improve as many lives as I can through no cost education and guidance. (now feel free to argue or trash me. Tell me how I am wrong, or could have said it better?)

I've been traveling to the Philippines regularly and I always avoided the bar girls and the street prosties. What this guy needed to realize is that there are plenty of well-educated decent Filipinas who don't work in bars. College students, BPO workers, etc. Just honest ladies who would likely be a better fit. I get it that a lot of bar girls do it for a lack of other economic opportunities...but there's also millions of Pinoys who go abroad for work as well.

Down through the ages for more than 100,000 years, women have learned how to survive in a world dominated and controlled by men. This knowledge of learning to survive in a male-controlled existence has been bred into the psyche of ALL women. Today, ALL women use the "game" of survival for their benefit to survive. They have intelligence and that means they will always use their thoughts to manipulate any situation to get what they want. That is how they survive. Surviving means staying alive. Tasks required to stay alive are not based on whether or not women want to do those tasks, but they are necessary to eat and survive until the next day, day after day. Survival is not based on pleasant choices. Survival just allows one to live another day, pleasant or not pleasant. Women learn survival tasks to avoid abuse or even death. The irony of the whole situation is that men have created women's employing manipulative techniques to survive by controlling women's conduct. Because men have used women for men's purposes, women have learned to "play the role" while still getting what women want beyond just survival. Today, the willingness of women to continue "playing the role" has come to a crossroads. Women have established enough legal and social-cultural presence to allow women to become autonomous to the demands of men's wants. These new-found strengths are causing an alteration in the accepted roles demanded by men to allow for these new-found positions of women in our societies and cultures today. Women hold the process for the survival of the species. With women's new strengths, they want major control of men's demands. And many men do not like it.

Absolute truth, Irish. I'm married to a sweet Filipina from the province now who had a few years working OFW and she just wanted a family of her own and a husband. We''re living in the US now and she's already a citizen and we have 2 young kids, but before I met her, I also went with a few girls in a seedier area. All these stories I've already ran across. Sweet beautiful bar girl no college education and a worthless baby daddy that gave her 3 babies and couldnt earn. She was working as hard as she could for her children. I respected her. I also let a stray kitty pick me up one night and go with me and she was just a free lancer that was new to the game and she just had a baby 3 months before and had a boyfriend that was a drunk and abusive and didnt know she was doing this, and I believed her because she told me the story with tears in her eyes. Its very important that if you want to have a good relatioship with a nice girl even from the provinces you understand the culture over there and why the girls do what they do sometimes. Its not always that they are "scamming" you. They're just trying to survive. YOU need to manage YOUR money and stop blaming the girls for when you say yes too often.

Finding two that works well together is fun. They swing by 3 times a week on a motorbike and also brings me food. The hardest part is training them to be on time. Never been to the Philippines, but I would like to visit someday. I did live in China on business for two years and she could have been talking about the girls there….same story, same MO. I quickly learned I did not want to mingle either the bar girls or go to the full service establishments. Many girls just wanted the $$$ from a foreigner, then move to the next target. I made friends the old fashioned way, slower, but enduring relationships that could grow. I never stopped being approached by random women and girls of all ages, at the plaza, at restaurants, in the park, on the street, but it was soon very easy to tell if she was after money, or was just interested in talking to a foreigner. I even was taken out by young and attractive girls a few times where they chose the restaurant, then they insisted on paying, never asking me for anything.

I actually had a bar girl tell me, an American, right before she gave me incredible gfe pse experience that she hates her job, been doing it for 10 years and will keep doing for 3 more years - when she will have made enough money to build her business in the provinces. And, no way she would ever marry a foreigner, especially not an American. She plans to meet and marry a Filipino after building her business in the province. Overall feeling about her was her type with her smarts in USA I would never have a chance with - nor would she be a bar girl.

I have dated 5 filipina's in the U.S. Short and long terms. They are either the most trustworthy, loyal, stick to you like glue type of women OR they are high end users. Maybe for the resaons Irish spells out. Desperation, School, etc. I can't speak for the women in the PH because I've never been but it seems like there is little or no middle ground of the 2 types I mentioned. Men who fall for the latter type are just not thinking clearly or don't care. It's not that hard to see it.

never ceases to amaze me how / why women fall into this trap. Don’t older women share their experiences with young women? how to completely alter your life in nine months. And it’s an easy trap for first world men to fall into also. I met a stunning woman half my age in Rio, way out of my league, 7 months pregnant, baby daddy nowhere in sight. I talked myself into believing my own b.s. I was a good guy, she was just in a tough situation and I could easily provide for her and her child. If you're an average or ugly guy the "normal girls" are probably not going to approach or be interested in you in most cases. A lot of men also don't have the confidence to go up and talk to girls on the street but bar girls will come and talk to you so the ice is already broken. Men will often fall for bar girls because they're the only women who have shown them some interest or affection and they mistake that for love or that they actually care for them as a person.

I am going to sub to your channel because of your pronunciation your proper pronunciation of video. It doesn't bother me but it shows you have a good year and a high degree of intelligence. I work very very hard with my Accent in any foreign language. I do pretty well and most of them I'm excellent in French but a complete failure in time because Ty is extremely tonal and tone death and cannot hear the differences in the five different ways to pronounce something from work like Mai. I listen with expensive headphones to the five different ways to pronounce it and if someone held a gun to my head I couldn't tell the difference between any of the five they all sound alike to me. Even Japanese is fairly phonetic and my pronunciation in Japanese is pretty good

Smart Girl Irish.. All the comments i've been writing on your post recently, made me realize i really have enough stories to right a book. & you can see i love to write Hahaha (see my comment below). I started going to the Philippines in 2007. i have always told everyone, its my "adopted homeland".. i started right off taking tons of photos of many things that are straight Pinay Culture (i studied photography in school).. i kept those photos on a digital folder, that i titled something that would make a good book title (so i'm not writing it here). But almost everything i've written a lot about.. and thought.. You have been validating with your post. The first few times i listened to you, i almost came close to crying.. because with me, listening to you i feel like, as they say "you're preaching to the choir". things that hurt, that i could have thought is all just my imagination.. you validate as truth. i've totally been there, done that.. all of it. There are other ways to do this without going for the bar girls. Online, in regular bars/restaurants, at the mall. I have met a number of filipinas these ways without going to the bars/nightclubs. Bar girls are more expensive, but are also more of a sure thing though. If you only have a limited amount of time, the bar girls route may be a better way to spend your time and money for that reason. The other ways let you meet a wider range of girls, some of whom really do want a real relationship. The pay to play situation can often still be found with them, for the economic reasons Irish states; but these other ways are a better bet if you may be looking for something more. The problem is time. I work for myself and can travel for longer periods of time working on the cloud. That is a huge advantage. If you only have a couple of weeks, speed and efficiency are the key.
